Euro Camper Road Trip - First Stop BRUGES Beer tasting (Part 1, July 2023)

We are back! Back again, so excited to be travelling and creating videos! This is the first part of our European Road Trip starting in July 2023 as we (hopefully) leave the UK and head to Bruges, Belgium.
Join us as we head off in search of the finest European beer, breweries, cheese and wine in Europe and see where we head to next... No plans, just head to Belgium and decide from there, the best type of trip!

Very interested in the remainder of the trip as not travelled to Europe in our Vantage Med. I have driven aboard a number of times in the past in hire cars but I have recently lost my confidence. Have previously thought a short trip to Belgium might be the solution. Regards, Russell.

That’s a great idea, we didn’t realise how close Bruges was from Calais! It took less than an hour and a half with zero tolls too so it would be a great trip for you to regain confidence. It’s always a bit unnerving when you arrive but after 10 mins on the motorway it soon comes back. Hope you get chance to get away, the roads were much quieter and better quality than the Uk.

Awesome guys! We were supposed to be doing Belgium this month but late delivery on the van meant a last min change of plan. Ghent next I'm guessing!

That was really cool. We love Bruges so much to see. We found a tiny underground bar and got hooked on Trappiste beer. And there was a bar that sold 13% strength - you were only allowed two glasses 😃😃 Fascinated to see where you guys end up. We’re off through the tunnel on Monday 👍👍

Oh no! That’s a shame, it was full when we were there and we were very lucky as we managed to book the first night as a cancellation only the night before we left, it’s worth checking their website and booking in advance if you can, there aren’t many campsites in the area 🥰

Stayed at Camping Memling in September 2022. Great location for getting into Bruges on the bus. ANPR access, facilities were clean. Loved it. Been to the city a few times and always seen something different. We did the Zot brewery tour.

But hoping to add a second leisure battery and convert to a fixed bed with pocket sprung mattress but the weather forcast for next week is awful so who knows how much I'll get done.

So good to see you back on the road. Love Bruges. When I had a tent my then boyfriend and I left the car in a Kent and took the ferry, then train to Bruges for a couple of nights. Such friendly people and to top it all we discovered chips and Mayo 😂. Think I climbed up that wonky church tower 😳. Other things I remember - a Convent, a bronze horses head drinking fountain and some windmills by a canal. Looking forward to the next vlog 💕

We went to Bruges a couple of weeks ago. Stayed at a campsite on the coast and went in by train. Lovely city.... Especially house of waffles

@@VantasticAdventures so we actually stayed in De Panne (Camping Kindervreugde). 50 mins from Calais port (towing caravan). Walked to station for train to Bruges on the Sunday (half price returns at weekend!) of our outward leg. And stayed again before return to UK, and bought a day ticket for the tram which runs along the coast all the way to the border with Netherlands. Two nice non driving days, and really easy for the ferry / tunnel.

Hello 🥰 She stayed at home with family as she doesn't like the hot weather very much, even when she sheds her winter coat anything over 20c and she gets too warm, we may take her in future if we can go when it's a bit cooler as she would like the walks 😁 In the latest video she's back 👍🐶

@@VantasticAdventures yes - just got back from a long trip across camino north spain (coruna, vigo, santiago etc).... down through portugal... across spain via madrid ... up through barcelona to arles (south france) then home... a brilliant trip I miss it already.
