Solid draft overall. My only feedback would be to consider investing more into ball recovery and PoTM as well as those are more predictable in comparison to goals/assists/clean sheets. Especially in the KO stages I’m not expecting a lot of goals. Someone like a Rice or Kante in midfield would also open up budget elsewhere and almost guarantee 4-5 points. Quickly drafted this with that in mind, would love to know your thoughts. Ball recs as stated already come from mostly CBs, which I have in this draft. Ball recs for mids have been accounted for really poorly in this tournament, so just have a look at the numbers I will share on the cheatsheet later that show the gulf between DMs and CBs. I like Sabitzer, and Gakpo, but Vestergaard? Not sure why he's in a draft

@@FPLFran yea I agree it’s been super inconsistent but my thinking was that they will carry on that inconsistency throughout so literally just sorted ball recoveries in descending order and picked Vestergaard who’s 5th highest in defenders. That said he’s surely not my favorite pick on the draft and I’ll be looking forward to the cheat sheet video to make better decisions!

I gave a similar draft.. i have doubled spain with yamal and nico.. didnt take gundo brought in sabitzer and doubled portugal with bernardo and bruno Also i didnt double any defence and have gakpo bappe on the front

Guehi, Cucurella, Mittelstadt and Costa seem great value. The other two DEF spots depend on what double up you want (POR/ESP/ENG/GER). Sabitzer and Morata instead of Pedri and CR7 is more of my type of playing. Nice draft

I agree with you. Personally i think Ronaldo will do better than Kane. But yes, Morata is an important player to have. I will also get Sabitzer in, but gotta have some time to think who i transfer out.

I think a video in which you evaluate the use of the wildcard in the semi-finals instead of the quarter-finals could be interesting. At the moment there are many matches that seem already decided and if there are no surprises I don't see a great advantage of the wildcard. Would it no longer make sense to try to create a slightly more balanced team (with 1 player from Austria and 1 from the Netherlands for example) and, in case there are no surprises, make some adjustments with the free changes and use the wildcard to the semi-final?

I am actually planning to play for the SF for the most part, but I think one way to achieve that is just by getting players who win in their Ro16 matchups and thus guaranteeing you a playing team of 15 in the QF anyways as opposed to planning for SF from the outset. Of course, one factor to consider is how many players from potential matchups - e.g. too much Spain and Portugal could end up poorly

You’ve deduced that from one game? It’s more often the case that Bruno is more involved from a g/a perspective. Bernardo scoring is more unusual and made the motm a bit more of aberration but if you prefer Bernardo go for it

You've either never watched Portugal play in the last 4-5 years or just have no tactical knowledge. Bruno creates more than most of the other players combined. Not only tactically he is the most involved but the numbers back that up as well

I would pick Pepe instead of Mendes, because I've not seen much from fall backs and it's the CBs that get the most points from recovery,and Pepe is gettting a lot of recovery points and is way more likely to play longer then Mendes

@@sickemboy9352 yeah my bad, they're both the same price, I go mixed up with someone else, but then again Pepe has been playing great for Portugal and is always getting good recovery points, if you look at it, I've been captaining a lot of my Striker and no one has really been score and 2 be satisfied they need to score at least 2 goals for ms to stick on captaincy, so it's better to get CB who tend to get the most recovery points and are probably the safest captain choice as they get 8 or 9 points. Most games recently are just low scoring games and personally at this point it's more beneficial to play safe and captain CBs who are likely to play more then attacker

Going triple England defence is bold especially as Slovakia have Lobotka who has been player of the match twice as have De Bruyne, Xhaka and Kante who are worth looking at. Tripling up on the best teams is dicey when one considers there are always upsets in the last 16. I think it could be worth punting on a few because you could always sub them out if they don't work. If we are wildcarding in the quarter finals, I can see why you could go big on the big teams, but I would prefer to spread the risk so if many of the players from the big teams blank you could go for the likes of Gakpo, Sabitzer, Stanciu, Guler, Kvartskelia, Akanji or Lukaku/De Bruyne

that's not how rating a defense works though. I don't look at clean sheets for example to determine best prem teams, I look at xGC. The latter is more 'predictive'. I think we're still top 3 though.
