Euro Mohawk Tutorial

Shawn Jump's Euro Mohawk has been a source of fascination and mystery for years....and today we are pulling back the curtain to show you what goes into this insane hairstyle. You'll probably be most surprised with how easy it actually is!

Euro Mohawk Tutorial
Supplies:
Hair spray, two bobby pins, comb
Method:
Grab the front two inches of hair and apply hair spray on all sides of the section, focusing at the roots. Begin backcombing the hair on the back side of the section, then use your hands to pull the hair into a curl, puff, and pin into place. Spray to set.
Grab the next handful of hair (about 1.5 inches), and apply hair spray to all sides, especially the roots, and backomb the entire section.
-Don't know how to backcomb? It's easy: Hold the hair up straight with one hand while pushing the hair down with your comb. Repeat this a few times until it's standing up straight on its own. It should look like a messy nest of hair.
Working in 1.5 inch sections across width of Mohawk, keep doing this all the way down untill you run out of hair.
Give it a few final sprays and tease in any stray hairs.

the best hairspray to use for a strong mohawk to hold through everything is got2b glued, trust me that shit will stay up through a hurricane. and for the mohawk thing you were saying, and I'm a 15 year old girl with a blue mohawk and baby i rock that shit haha

Wow sometimes the algorithm works in VERY strange ways. Recently got my hair cut to sustain my first mohawk (I'm 25 and pretty sure I'm having a quarter life crisis 🙃) But I just failed spectacularly on my first attempt to do a fan yesterday, then BAM apparently the lead singer to one of my favorite bands pops up with a mohawk tutorial on my recommended list. It's kind of a short death hawk a UK Mohawk is pretty thin like paper almost haha but it looks amazing! my husband has this hairstyle and i have yet to put it up for him, he kind of just soaks it in hairspray and spikes pieces.

I don't know if I would say it's easier to fall out when it's longer. I went to a fair and tested mine out (It's about 18 inches) on a bunch of rides. The Himalaya, freefall, swings, tornado, some ride where it swings you sideways in both directions, and finally the starship (which spins you around to generate 1G). Through all of that, all it did was kind of slick the top bit back, but the rest of the hawk was still standing tall at the end of the night. Anyway, neat video. I'll have to try the thing with the little poof.

My hair is almost to my butt and I still want to try this! I think I'll wait until after my big cut, do something drastically different and incorporate this into a fauxhawk. I'll definitely need to find a similar strength hairspray in the UK, don't think I've ever seen that stuff before.
