What's even the point, we already know it's going to easily pass the tests. These crash tests haven't been changed for years.

The tests have changed every year since 2012. It was never about passing the test. What does it even mean to pass the test? If Volvo S/V90 gets anything under 95%, it will be a disappointment. I was hoping for the E-class to beat XC90, but looks like it failed although not as bad as Hoss Cartwright.

They haven't changed the crash test itself, it's still the same barrier at the same speed (64 km/h). Mybe they can add a small overlap test like the Americans have or increase the crash speed to 80 km/h.

Hoss Cartwright they changed it, there was no AEB test on 2012 nor pedestrian impact test. The best car that was tested on 2012 is Range rover and it got 91, but in 2016 it might only get under 91, because they are making the test harder, maybe they've changed the steel on the pole who knows?
