Snowrunner only wins in Snowrunner things. Try driving on roads in it and you'll want to shoot yourself.

They are two very different games in their conception and goals and therefore they offer very different gaming experiences. SR simulates off-road trucks in an extremely harsh environment, in which you are alone except for some birds. ETS/ATS closely simulates the work of real truck drivers in real environments in Europe or the US in a realistic simulation with traffic, people waking in the streets, pets and animals.

It really doesn't "closely simulate the work of real truck drivers" Real truck drivers have to worry about burning up their brakes on downhill grades. And real truck drivers have to do tons of work outside of just driving the truck. SCS spends too much time on map size and truck models and far too little time on gameplay.

For me ETS and ATS end up being the games I like and play the most. The cockpits are light years ahead, they have realistic gearboxes and sound & feel like real trucks. I got a lot fun out of Snowrunner with it's gameplay elements but ultimately it's not very satisfying as a truck experience.

ETS2 is great, but lacks of some realty on accidents, snowrunner is amazing on physics and crash system.

The physics simulation is far superior in SR as well as just the "truck pull," understandably as it's the newer game and more polished; lighting and the world are also then better in SR. The two games however serve different niches within the truck sim genre, SR being more of a wild/challenging adventure type of game whereas ETS2 is more about managing your supranational company and running the main roads through the interesting contrasting geography of Europe (though even in that I'd say it's lacking a bit of authenticity and variation that mods somewhat make up for). Both games are fantastic - thanks for cool video.

ETS2 and ATS2 don't really focus on water and mud but in all the other things they win this comparision. The whole point of Snowrunner is to feel the snow and mud under your wheels and drive in tough terrain but the amount of customization and details to the cockpit are not the most prioritized. They are both good games in their specific fields.

One thing I would like to see in SnowRunner is ETS2's truck customization system. Sometimes it can be hard to see what some of the upgrades do, and the menu resets if you try to spin the truck around. Trailer customization is another thing.

Snow Runner it's much better. I have both games. Euro Truck Simulator 2 it's good because its multiplayer with 1000 + players, and has a much bigger map, but its very boring because it's repetitive. Snow Runner it's boring because you can play mostly alone, you have option to play with friends.

Snow runner easy win when it comes to Truck physics and landscape graphics. But ETS2 is a god of his own planet for a reason. ETS truck interiors and graphics are masterpiece. Huge map, huge trucking community, i can go on and on. I play both games and i will always choose ETS2 over snow runner all day.

In Euro truck there are beautiful areas with sunflower or wheat lands. And at a point I saw trains go through that area in the railway because I was racing against a train and I later saw the train reappear in the traffic jam in front of the railway going through the road.

True but bare in mind that ETS wasn't made to drive through water. To drive there I even had to teleport. If the base game had a company which we had to cross a whater stream for exemple, probably it would have some effect

ETS 2 release date 2012. Snowrunner release date 2020. 8 years is a huge difference in gaming. Plus, it makes no sense to compare how the truck reacts in water. If you are sending your truck in water in ETS 2, you are not playing the game correctly at all. There are 2 things that snowrunner does that I wished ETS 2 did. First the hands on the wheel and second, the night lighting

I never saw any water in ETS, might be a mod? If that is the case, I wouldn't put it a comparison as water effects and scenery is out-of-the-box in SnowRunner. Also, SnowRunner focus more in physics than ETS.

Water is just normal ground with a moving texture since in ets you never go off road or smth like that they did not put money into physics and stuff i tried in dev cam

Both of them i like but Snowrunner i like the most because it puts you into actions with offroad world and you need to pay attention how you drive to not flip over with the trucks is a little bit more advance because it tests your driving skills 😁 is just my oppinion ✌🏽

I think both games are good, I depends if the player wants to do Offroad Hauling or On Road Hauling now I terms of moving vehicles Snowrunners doesn't have any except other players as it seems everyone either moved away before the event or they dead.

Change me if i am wrong but is SR not younger then ETS2? I am going with a nice feeling when i think how much SR could approve in few years. But doesnt change the fact that it isnt the same Genre. What I love about snowrunner is the texture of surfaces, they look dusted, rough, shiny just like in real life. Tho I understand why euro truck's graphics are slightly inferior cuz of it has one hell of a map. I think the water physics/graphics needs some improvement in ETS2 tho, it's like a shiny png treadmill.

Would love to compare. But it seems that if you use a console instead of a PC, ETS does not seem to think you are worth bothering with. Hence Snow Runner wins on the PS4 as there is no other truck game worth playing on that platform.

Snowrunner is a unique game in its own way but sadly it lacks a lot of things like traffic people small towns with AI traffic and people the trucks and suvs tend to slip and slide at high speeds they bounce a lot the physics is pretty messed up especially when you are carry a load or a trailer it tends to slide as well but in American truck simulator and euro truck simulator they are realistic especially handling even at high speed

The games have different categories. In snowrunner you go offroading over difficult terrain and meet challenges In ETS2 you feel the life of a trucker on the road, basically. Going from country to country on asphalt Both of them are nice Sad thing is that ETS2 is a truck-related game but it has bad physics. Not very interesting and apparently they don't even work on that

Like pretty much all ETS-players, you seem to confused physics with animations. You can have very good physics in a game, and still have very bad animations. You can also have brilliant animations with less-than-average physics. I don't know about SnowRunner. But the ETS2-physics are fairly bad, in my opinion. The tire model seems to be extremly simple. That's alright as long as you drive the truck well within its limits. But as soon as you enter a bend a bit faster than you should, the trucks reacts in a really strange way. ETS2 has many weaknesses from todays point of view. Vehicle physics and dynamics is one of them.

I got 350 hrs plus in snowrunner and 100hrs plus in ets2 and 50ish in ATS. I was wondering how you will compare these 2 games as they are not at all comparable except for the fact that they both have trucks in them. Snowrunner is offroad trucking and ETS is onroad. ETS2 onroad riding is way superior than SR onroad driving. Offroad, snowrunner is way better. Engine sounds and general truck sounds, ets2 wins with a big margin. Snowrunnwr truck sounds are way too bad most of the time. Tasks get difficult when move to dlc maps and I can't play it alone most of the time, with friends time flies by in snowrunner. Ets2 difficulty stays the same throughout. Vehicle customization - ets is king. Snowrunner got more to do than just trucking. Loading manually, using cranes to load cargo, doing your own vehicle rescue, forklifting etc. Ets is purely trucking and money management. Ets got traffic and fines. Snow is a solo game if you don't have friends with you. There is a lot of differences, but less to compare
