Here's a fun way to play this game with friends: You switch after each death, but the player before chooses who the next player will play as and then next player chooses what to blow their money on. You don't choose what you're born with but you get to use your inheritance how you please. Highly entertaining.

Had lots of issues with this video working. Doesn't play on Smart TVs or on PS4 (length of video is completely different - over an hour it says) and then on mobile the audio cuts out after about 15 minutes. Shame as Rogue Legacy is one of my favourite games!

Oh I'm glad it's not just me. It plays for me, but always tries to switch to 144p and buffers a lot. It's really frustrating. :(

Yeah, it won’t play on my PS4 so I just tried playing on iPhone and everything is super sped up including the audio so Johnny and Aoife sound like indecipherable chipmunks!

Stefan Forrer I think it's the app because that's how I was watching it earlier. Tried watching on my laptop instead and it worked fine!

Eurogamer Yup can report problems here too (on mobile, Android) sound is fine a first but if I skip to later in the video the sound goes (but it's there if I return to the earlier bit) - also for what it's worth, the auto quality wants to put it in 144 and if I knock it higher it buffers quite frequently even though I'm using my home wi-fi connection and not the phone's, and it's definitely not doing this on any other video.

There is so much Johnny didn't explain to Aoife - you can kill plinkies, there is a teleport before each new area, there is a yellow plus next to purchasable manor upgrades, the secret passages, the advantages of being a dwarf, etc.

Aoife, the warning that you're about to enter a new area is having a paladin statue on one side, an angel statue on the other, and a teleporter but no boss door. Also you can kill the spiky things that shoot fireballs in 4 directions.

Rogue Legacy is also one of my favorite Rogue-likes just because there's always that feeling of progression even if you do die. Sometimes in rogue-likes you can just feel like you're smashing your face against a wall and never getting further in anyway. While Rogue Legacy you could, in theory, slowly work your way up and improve and the game is always changing slightly.

Loss of sound part way through and the picture image quality was really bad. Like it wasn't fully loading properly for me. All got other videos work fine though. Was this just me?

We’re not sure whether this is a problem on KZbin’s end. Other people have reported loss of sound too but there’s no issues on our end so we’re not sure what’s going on - sorry!

For anyone who can't view this, the fix for me was to turn off forced h.264, and let chrome (or whatever) run with VP9. (that's my default in chrome). Best of luck.

Dead Cells was fantastic, but I feel like Rogue Legacy always allows you to chip away at the difficulty until you can beat it, and you can always dedicate a run towards building up another stat point. Dead Cells was a lot of fun and then it was very hard and I stopped.
