Battleground Beijing: Daily routine in overcrowded metro

Beijing subway staff make great efforts every day to guarantee normal operation of the subway lines and safety of the passengers in the bustling subway stations.
Since June 2013, the 14 subway lines in Beijing receive an average of 10 million trips every workday, making the subway stations over-crowded, especially during rush hours on workdays. The large number of passengers put huge pressure on the city's subway system.

Line 13 isn't as crowded now, with all the new lines and stuff. But it's still a really outdated line, definitely not built for these kind of operations. Only newer lines could help this line out.
