Nice video. Happy to see you staying at Pension Williams. Brings back memories. I always recommend it when anyone asks where is good to stay in that area. Glad I went when the B500 was ‘normal’ speeds though, completely get the frustration about the speeds, so sad that this is becoming the norm now. Will be watching the others in the series. 👍

Lovely place PW. I've stayed several times over the years as it's a perfect stop over when heading in either direction. I keep promising myself to spend 2-3 days there and expore the roads off the B500 a bit more. Thanks for the comment.

That was a nice spin on what looked some great roads. Shame about the so many low speed limits on such long stretches. Its great to get away from the motorways and see some of the countries off the beaten track but it can turn into a long day if you also need to cover some long distances.

Did the B500 in 2022, threw caution to the wind and caned my Tuono V4. Was willing to take the fine if caught. Love Germany as a whole

Despite the disappointment with the KTM, the TransAlp seems to barrel along quite nicely. What are your thoughts on this as a road bike/tourer?

I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford both bikes but if budget only stretched as far as the Transalp I would be more than happy with it, although personally I wouldn't want to do any long tours with a pillion on it. I's a cracking road bike and more than capable of taking you on short or longer solo trips.

Thank you! I have a mo tech 35 ltr dry suck and i am planning a 8 day tour around turkey. 11 kilograms all in total. I placed the same luggage in 2 panniers and the top box. Guess what.... The total weight got 24 kilograms!@@darren-lewis

@@BeTouring_Bulgaria A waterproof bag over the pillion seat is always my preference. The only disadvantage is security if you want to stop on your route and leave the bike unattended. I've had the large metal panniers on my 1200 GSA and just filled them with junk I didn't really need! Enjoy your trip to Turkey, that's a country I would love to visit on a motorcycle. 👍

Your syntax was incorrect when you started taking about the B500; you said this is basically what motorcycling has been reduced to… What you should have said this reduction is what motorcyclists have brought upon themselves. You knew what you were going to find on the B500 so why did you take it? Other routes are available.
