1990 I think they didn't have the census data for the newly formed Germany when the Berlin wall came down. Just my guess that the classification was skewed because the same people would still be there from the year before.

The 2020 Russian freefall doesn't make sense. Russian lockdown effect on migration is not much different than in EU. Sure, less people got in, but the total number of migrants didn't get cut in half like the video suggests.
