Very nice! The mid sound on the original recording is kind of magic and even Kee does not remember the exact recipe: "I used a Marshall plexi, modified by Tommy Folkesson. L'Arriveé guitars - a strat and a tele + a sixstring acoustic. The mid boost, which was integrated in the head, was designed by Tommy Folkesson, Mats "Drutten" Gran and myself. This created the typical OOTW guitar sound, and I gotta say, I've never heard something quite like it. Almost the timber of a flute. Unfortunately neither Me, Tommy or Drutten recalls how we did this - I guess that secret is forever lost!"

This is the best teaching video i’ve seen- so I have a bit of practicing to look forward to! 😁👍

Hello Kim! 😊 Thank you very much for the nice words! You are very kind! I am happy to know that this tutorial is useful for you to learn this solo which, as you said, is truly among the most beautiful ever written! Regarding the fast part it is just practical. If I can I allow myself to give you some advice, after having learned the positions, the notes of that passage, isolate that part and practice only on that. Start slowly and then speed it up. You will see that the results then arrive! 😊 Thanks again and good work! 😊✌️🎸

@@AndreaMaccianti Hi again! Sorry to bother you. But can I ask how long did you practice to make the big speed run at the end of the solo? I haven’t got any experience with shredding, but just double picking. I use a metronome, and i’ve can get the speed up to a ok speed, but still a long way to get to the solo’s intended speed. How long do you think I would have to practice?. I’ve listen to your advice to practice only sections of that run 🤘🤘🤘😊
@AndreaMaccianti3 жыл бұрын
@@kim-andresandnes5749 Hey Kim! Do not disturb at all! The use of the metronome is essential. I recommend that you start by performing that passage starting from a speed of 60 BPM by playing it in quarters then one note per beat. Subsequently for eighths two notes per beat and finally in sixteenths four notes per beat. Otherwise only for quarters gradually increasing the BPM. The key thing is quality, you have to be able to hear every single note of that passage. Because if you do it fast but badly, you better not do it 😊 Keep me updated! For anything else, feel free to ask! Good work my friend! 🤘💪🎸
