WHO IS BUNCHARTED?
We're Michelle and Alex, a travel-obsessed American couple living abroad in the Netherlands.
In 2020, we quit our jobs to travel the world, and... yeah, that didn't happen. So in 2022, we decided to make an even BIGGER change, packing up our lives (and our cats 🐈), moving from Austin, Texas, to Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. Subscribe for new videos like this every week!

You missed the nicest part, the ‘Binnendieze’. The river under the city you can take a tour on. Perhaps the weather wasn’t that great, but HIGHLY recommend to do it in spring or summer.

Great that you show other cities in The Netherlands than just Amsterdam👍The overtourism in Amsterdam needs this as well 😊 There are so many interesting options not far from Amsterdam to let you experience the real Dutch culture 🧀🧇☕️🌷

When you return to Den Bosch, I'd advise you to go in spring/summer, as the city will be so much more alive and enjoyable with a plethora of outdoor terraces, markets and so on.

I realy love the way Michelle pronounces the Bossche bol (Boschee ball). I would guess that if you would say "Bossah bol", you would be very close to how we pronounce it. But Feel very free to keep saying "Boschee ball", because it makes me smile every time :) Needless to say; I like your video's !

Den Bosch is riddled with weird statues modelled after the paintings of Jeroen Bosch. Apparently a lot of the paintings of Salvador Dali were inspired by the works of Jeroen Bosch. I'm not sure where this particular one is, because they tend to move some of them once in a while, but probably at De Tuin Der Lusten (garden of lust), named after one of the paintings of Bosch. (I guess this statue is actually from De Tuin Der Lusten, hence all his pieces sticking out)

About the statue: it's in the Jeroen Bosch Tuin (Jeroen Bosch Garden) near the Carnavalsmuseum (Zrs. van de Orthenpoort, sidestreet of the Hinthamerstraat)

13:17 I live in Den Bosch and I asked on a local Facebook page if anyone knew where it is now. Unfortunately, it is no longer in public space. It's in the municipal yard. The statue was part of a collection of statues that was spread throughout the city center in 2016. That year was the 500th year that Jeroen Bosch died. In the local museum there was a Hieronymus Bosch exhibition with 17 original paintings by Bosch. Was a great success. Anyway, the statue of the legs was vandalized, so it was replaced in the spot in your picture. But it was also vandalized there and the local authorities took it to the yard. The adres is Poeldonkweg 1, 's-Hertogenbosch

@@buncharted You really have to come back because you couldn't do a canal tour in de Binnendieze (closed during winter). You even filmed a part of it on 12:28. I've sent a chat message to your Instagram with a picture of the place of the statue today.

Indonesian was is popular because Indonesia was a Dutch colony for a few centuries (until 1947). A lot of Dutch people lived in Indonesia and for Dutch people Indonesian food is just as common as regular Dutch food.

thanks for visiting my home town, nice to see you enjoyed yourself, The restaurant Bandung is two streets away from where I live. The owner of Bandung is a regular of my fathers bar so we've been there quite a few times. Tramkade is home to so many cool things so its nice to see you stay in a less usual spot then '' Hotel Centraal'' or something. PS. the '' Man op Vogel'' Statue is a short walk away from my fathers bar, a street known as '' In den boerenmouw'' On the aproach to the Jeroen Bosch tuin. If you come to visit Den Bosch again do grab a cup of coffe at my dads/brothers bar '' Stadscafe de Basiliek'' close to the Sint Jan ;)

Cool video! (Too bad about the weather though) The Den Bosch region is very pretty if you’d like to try out a hike in the Netherlands. Check out “natuurgebied kampina” (there are like 5 of these surprisingly gorgeous nature reserves in the Noord Brabant province) There are also some interesting landmarks to visit on a hike. Like the “moerputtenbrug” for example.

I used to work around the corner of the Jan De Groot bakery, which is famous and often hard to find a seat and order in instead of doing takeaway. Lucky you guys! Lekker lekker Did you happen to check out the Jheronimus Bosch Arts Centre? This is where a painted image of the replica statue that you're interested in can be seen in a copy of Bosch's famous triptych 'The Garden of Earthly Delights'. Garden statues like the one you were looking for are found in various neighbourhoods all over the city, which is playful that way. Don't you think? I was also excited to see you having dinner at the restaurant Bandung, which is featured in my suspense novel, 'Betrayal of Bosch'. Den Bosch is such a fun and interesting city and it was nice seeing you two experiencing it too. I also found an old video of a Binnendieze boat trip especially exploring the works of Jeroen Bosch: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn7FfnRrmb9_sLc

Maybe a tip, before you go visiting a city ask for someone who can show you around there city. There are always people that will like to do that for free. Just tell in your videos which city you going to visit next and ask for a tour guide 😎

Hi! remember me? I complained about the quick panning with your phone/camera. Vastly improved, thank you. I should tell you that I have mentioned this to others, as well. As a matter of fact I used to pan too quickly myself. You don't realize it until you actually watch later. If you pan too quickly the camera doesn't have a chance to record all those pixels, and they become distorted and out of focus which messes with your brain.. So thanks! I really enjoy your videos and can live through them vicariously.
