He was the thirteenth of his name, (there is a long saga of Alfonsos, many quite influential), you had a small lapsus at the beginning of the video. Nicely done! Salud

You forgot to note that Alfonso XIII lost his throne to the Second Republic (which would end in Civil War), and that many blame him for abandoning Primo de Rivera - who was a very rare bird: A dictator who was actually a good person.

God, I am so glad you addressed JP's worship of UK, it's... UTTERLY NONSENSICAL and anacronistic with what he preaches. He preaches so much anti imperialism... AND THEN BENDING THE KNEE TO THE FIRST IMPERIALISTS! I get that he's Canadian and that's sort of the thing with Canadian conservatives to roll with English imperial prestige but.... dude.

Your welcome, I'm glad it's getting notes here, for what it is. JP being dumb, instead of his usual self.

Its ironic that the Philippine Revolutions first president and general ended up and lived his life loyal to Alfonso XIII after the American conquest of the country.

V = 5 in roman numerals and X = 10 thus, XIII = 10+1+1+1 = 13

Personally, I think Alfonso was a meh ruler his rule had good moments, but he allowed rift war, which killed millions of Moroccans via chemical warfare massacres, and bloody batties, allowed his army to run a dictatorship, and mostly failed to prevent the spanish Civil War.

Killed millions? In a small sparsely populated part of a country which had fewer than 9 million people in 1950 let alone the 1910s and 1920s.

Forgetting the messacres the Moroccans perpetrated on Spanish disarmed positions even to the degree of violating peace deals.
