This is such a great series of videos Steve, I admire your spirit of adventure and wish I could emulate it more. Sorry to see you had a problem with your accommodation which is one of the things that make me anxious about not planning everything in advance. Regarding the camera, I understand GoPro's are renowned for the sorts of problems you have. I have three DJI Osmo Action 4 cameras (one for my helmet, one for my wifes' helmet and one for my dash), and we both have DJI MIc 2's bluetoothed to the cameras to capture our conversations. They work brilliantly and have never let us down, and being a Bluetooth connection, totally waterproof.

Hi there, thank you! It tends to always work out, even when it seems to be going completely pear-shaped at the time… A few other people have mentioned the DJI cameras too; I will definitely be taking a look once funds allow. Thank you for the advice! 😁

I’d be fuming with that Airbnb. Luckily it wasn’t one where you were arriving late or would have been in bother. I’m touring Norway now and used the tent last night. Couldn’t sleep, back was aching, so uncomfortable. Just realising I’ve aged past tent lifestyle!

Hi Steve just thought I would call in and leave a message to help your YT stats. Got to say I am still enjoying the videos and watching your travels. To see you ride from brilliant sunshine into snow really was amazing. Glad you got to the waterfall in time as well. I am guessing Switzerland will be the most expensive place you visit. Glad your like myself and stick to the speed limits as the lads on 44Teeth or at least one of them did got caught speeding and the fine they incurred was horrendously expensive. Looking forward to catching up on your other adventures. Regards Ted

Hi Ted, I’m so glad you are enjoying my videos and thank you commenting, I really appreciate it. It really did feel like riding through four seasons in a day, a bit surreal really! I think Ted Simon said 50mph was the ideal speed to tour at… fast enough to get where you’re going but slow enough to see the scenery 😁

Hi Steve, I have replaced all of my NoPro's with DJI 4's recently with all the problems I've had anyhow thats not the point I wanted to make. I learned when my HoplessPro's would hang or stop working and I couldn't stop to pull out the battery what I would do is "hold and press the mode button (on the side) and the record button (on the top)" for about 20 seconds (press these buttons together) and this should restart or reset the battery and it should boot up again and start recording correctly.
@TwoWheeledDreamer5 ай бұрын
Hi Arch, thanks for this, I will look into those cameras when funds allow. 😊 Thanks also for the reboot tip! Next time it happens I will give it a try… that’s a much better solution to stopping and taking everything apart to access the battery. Thanks my friend! 😁

The nav6 has been a major disappointment to me with everything from inputting destinations to the routes and planning. The new connected navigator has been fantastic and in a different league, so far faultless but expensive.
@TwoWheeledDreamer5 ай бұрын
Hi there, that’s how I also feel about the Nav 6. I do like the integration with the bike but the actual navigation is all a bit primitive (when it decides to work at all). The connected ride is on my radar when funds allow…. Good to hear that one is a good product!
@Hemlck5 ай бұрын
Nav 6 is hopeless….it will break completely eventually as they all do…BMW will replace without question but it’s so unreliable I use a CarPlay/ android auto product now.

That’s interesting that you use the CarPlay/Andriod unit now… I’ve been asked to review a couple of these, it will be interesting to see what they are like to use. I hear the connected ride from BMW is a good unit, unlike the Nav 6, I will also be checking that out. Thanks for commenting 🙂

That explains it, you ride so slow, as you used to ride a harley!😂I don't like the whole Airbnb thing, especially on the cheap end of the market, it takes affordable living away from the locals and are not always in the best areas. I hardly ever take motorways, way to boring on a motorcycle.
@TwoWheeledDreamer17 күн бұрын
I’ve had many a fabulously long and relaxed tour on Harleys over the years! I like Airbnb when I’m staying with a family living in the property and get to chat with them and see an area from a locals perspective and yes, motorways aren’t ideal but they are a means to an end when time is limited!
