I just learned that Joey Tempest (the singer, stage name) was 16 when he wrote this song. What on earth?!! That's remarkable.

Joey’s voice is so silky, very unique, that high note he hit right before the guitar solo is breathtaking

This is one of those songs where you cannot imagine people not knowing it. Such a classic. I don’t think many hardrock or metal fans in those days liked this as it probably was too poppy and mainstream, but good music is good music. And this is certainly good music.

As a proper fan of EUROPE though, I never take John Norum over Kee Marcello, or vice versa....I speak of them both in the same breath, and am an equal fan of both guitarists. They each bring a different style to the plate, and to me, that's enough. Plus, both put in the work to be truly memorable in their craft. And I'm thankful that both have had the bravery to showcase their talents to the world. =)

The final countdown is my old time favorite song and still it is! And about half a year ago i was sitting in the tram here in Amsterdam and i heard a voice behind me and that was.. Dr. Alban.. i said something like "it is better to color the world" and watching outside because it was not good weather. But ofcourse one of his songs is Color the world😉 i was too scared to ask a picture with him

Guau! Yo tuve la suerte de verlos en persona. Eran unos tíos de 1'90 con unos cuerpazos unos pelos largos y rubisimos de escándalo y Europa entera se enamoró de ellos

Last night when I was driving my son to pick up something to eat, this song came on our Sirius. He knows and likes it, I’m pretty sure it was on some iteration of a Guitar Hero or Rock Band. I told him this one always reminds me of Rock You Like a Hurricane by the Scorpions. If you haven’t checked that one, it might by fun to react to as well. And also I Winds of Change by the Scorpions as well

We all take them (and other good musicians) for granted. If you think, they were in their early 20s here....to come up with such good songs, to master instruments at such young age....in the 80s you had to be good to make it.

The SULTAN, Euro rock at it's finest, Europe are mostly known for this but they are fine musicians and are really an album band, typical 80's big hair and big vocals, in the same genre, check out U.F.O with "DOCTOR DOCTOR " you'll love it, featuring one of the best guitarist in the world MICHAEL SCHENKER. take care kid.

@neolaciss3 жыл бұрын
Yes! This song was #1 in 25 countries and enjoyed by billions! This is not perfection, this is more than perfect! The people that think this is not perfect are nitpicking and are jealous saying like there's too much keyboard in a rock song, not hard enough to be a rock song, and my favorite, they're not Americans.
