I based a career move on this song. A position was announced that I was hesitant to apply for. The day was my dad’s birthday as well. He had passed away earlier that year. I was sitting there thinking, I need a sign. Then this song came on. It was literally the final countdown to apply for the job. I ended up getting the job which led to further advancement. In the years since, I haven’t seen any similar opportunities in my field. I likely would be in the same position for the last 8 years. Thanks, Europe!

Europe are great btw stormwind and seven doors hotel being my favourite songs but when they were commercial song's like rock the night and Carrie charted in the pop charts aswell as this one . Joey tempest lead singer John norum on guitar later replaced by kee Marcelo..I think they are still going and a bit heavier now.. Swedish band the lead singer married an English woman and lives in London.

This was 80s hair metal at its worst. Where hair and makeup, image and looking good, were more important than talent or message. All of the hair metal bands started to sound the same. The result was a revolt that led to the 90s grunge movement that threw all of that polished production in the trash.
