Over half of the Finno-Ugric languages were missing, all those that are spoken in Russia. They are at least: Karelian, Vepsian, Ingrian, Mari, Moksha, Erzya, Udmurt and Komi. They are all spoken in the European side of Russia. All the Sami languages, spoken in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia are missing. Many of these are endangered and it doesn't help that they are ignored like in this film.

I’d say that there’s about 175,000 fluent speakers at most with 80,000-95,000 people speaking it as their first language. -“Dia daoibh” is only used when greeting multiple people. It’s “Dia dhuit” if it’s only a single person. Anyways, thanks for including us! D’fhéach mé ag an físeán agus bhí mé ag sonas agus tógtha faoi é. :D

I'm not sure Slovenian is spoken in Hungary, but it is in Austria. Slovak is spoken in Hungary.
@scipioafricanus66369 жыл бұрын
Popperite As a Hungarian i can tell you that just Hungarian language is spoken in Hungary. No Slovakian, no Sloviean or any other languages. More than 98% of Hungary's population is Hungarian, so there are no significant minorities. However, the opposite is true, because Hungarian is actually spoken in big numbers (bigger than 10% of the population) in Slovakia, Serbia, Romania, and Ukraine. This is due to the fact that all of these countries (parts of Ukraine) were formed from the Hungarian Kingdom after the end of the First World War.
@Popperite9 жыл бұрын
Scipio Africanus On old ethnographical and linguistic maps of Europe, even one I have that was made in the 1970's, there are a few 'islands' where Slovak is spoken and many more where German is spoken. They shrink in the fullness of time, but they are still there!
@scipioafricanus66369 жыл бұрын
bubibuLo13 Maybe. Maybe not. (Slovak, Romanians and other Slavs arrived in the Carpathian basin only during the 18th century as settlers because, most of our country's population was slaughtered during the 150 years of Tuskish ioccupation adn the Turkiash-Habsurg-Hungarian wars) However genetics are not always reflect a nation's identity. Hungary is populated by Hungarians, no matter the genetics. There is no bigger insult to a Hungarian than calling him/her a Romanian. It is an isult here, meaning something like "you thief". Try it! Hungary's population is about 10 million and 9.9 million are Hungarian. No significant minorities. No Slovakians, or Germans (at least 300 thousand Germans used to live here, however the barbaric Soviet horde deported them mostly to Siberia or back to Germany after WW2) I am not a big nationalist, and I am the most suprised I am saying this, but STFU with your 20 years old country. Oh and one more thing. Slovakins are not the predeccesors of the Morvas or the Avars. Nice lie, but not true (it was created to strentghten Slovakian nationalism, because Slovakia only have been existing for 20 years). Also, Hungarians have nothing to do with the Huns, despite many Hungarians believe this (it is a similar story as the Slovakian-Morva lie).
@scipioafricanus66369 жыл бұрын
bubibuLo13 One more thing. Genetically Slovakians, the Checz, Austrians and Hungarian are nearly idenctical, because of the mixing of genes throguh the centuries. But genes do not define a Nation. As Slovakins are not Austrians, that's why Hungarians are not Romaians or Slovakians.
@Popperite9 жыл бұрын
Scipio Africanus Well, of course genetics don't entirely define nationality. Or language! There is a certain overlap from case to case, but mostly it isn't definitive.

All slaves in one country? It seems to be a good idea, but I think that in my country Poland and in other slavic countries which are in EU(Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Croatia), people wouldn't like to be in a one country with Russia, because the culture of our nations is totally different. We try to be and personally I think that we are a part of the West Civilisation , but Russians want to create ther own Russian Empire. Sveika, Sveiki, Sveiks, Sveicināti, and then of course Labdien (good day) Labvakar (good evening) Ar labu nakti (goodnight) and so on. It also has about 2 million speakers worldwide from what I heard, 1.6m in the country. Thanks for the video though it was nice to watch. P.S. Actually , poor people are in two aspects , in heart and in pockets , you can fill your pockets with money but you can not fill your heart never ever, so albanians live in peace and they love their life , they have a large beach from Shkodra to Saranda , the people really live happy , albanian people are the happiest , and its not very poor. What about Serbia ,isnt it poor ? . Serbia actually is very poor, people there in villages are selling their organs to survive , and also most of balkanic countries are poor ,because their poor mentality of wars ,thats not because albanians but its because albanians always had to protect their lands to survives from enemies , otherwise Albania gave the biggest names to the world ! P.S By the way the topic is Languages but you serbians like to miss the topic ha ha ha !
@MrAlban20119 жыл бұрын
Albanians gave a lot to the world and is one of the richest by culture and tradition. Albanians never attacked anyone , albanians always protected in their own home and land . Serbia was one of the countries who causes wars in Balkan , War with Slovenia , Croatia , Bosnia and recently with Kosova in 1999, you cant say Serbia is rich ,there is nothing in Serbia , by the way Kosovo is 95 % with albanians and we are Albanians and the people who want to learn true history, they can find enough , you want to change the history that I lived myself , I saw Serbians crimes myself in Kosovo, crimes in Bosnia too Croatia etc. You are that kind of bastards , instead of asking apologize , you want to act like a victim , but actually you did crimes ,not you yourself ,but your country and Milosevic and Lazar, and the orthodox churches there in Serbia gave that poor mentality to you , you must change yourself with these low behaviours , is your time to be a human !

Kosovo is till Nish , albanianas are the ancients people in Europe , like it says this video ,albanian langauage is different from all languages , but Serbian is a family language in Rusia and other continent , so maybe you came from there , by the way Kosova is very rich by history , we belong to Illyrian tribe called Dardan ,and before Illyrian were Pelasgian , the all world is happy to have a history like albanians , Albanian history is rich not just for albanians but for all world , the civilization started by Illyrian tribes and Pelasgians they are our ancestors , it is confirmed scientifically! Actually Slovenians are not Albanians but you Serbian fought with them , who is the cause , myabe Slovenians ? This video shows the most important languages !!!!
