Clubs sign kids to their club youth academy - so when you heard messi signed to barca he signed to the youth academy and made his way up to first team

Yeah so to add to that there’s caps. Like Under 12s eg so a 12 year old could go to a under 16 if they’re good enough eg

After you know specifically about the position, you can reflect on players you know, like Messi plays cam and rw, Cristiano Ronaldo plays lw and st, Sergio Ramos plays cb, etc. that's why the highlight are different, sometimes lots of goals, sometimes passes, sometimes dribble or defense

You misunderstood the part about them signing 8-10 year olds. They get signed to the academy, the majority of kids that go to them don’t make it to the first team. It’s not like they go and are playing against/with 25 year olds 😂

@@KIDIffyeah most huge clubs have a u10, u14s, u18 and u21 teams. These youth clubs can also do transfers (Messi transfered from Newell's Old Boys to Barcas youth team at 16) nowadays players can only move after turning 18

18:48 this used to be how it was in Football pre late 90's there were only a few weeks where transfers did not happen, but teams with huge budgets had too much advantage as they could just buy a good player if they were struggling, effectively buying their way out of a tough season

Attention guys, 1 league has 38 games, but the other competitions happen in between those games too, for example. In the Leagues the top of the table clubs go to the european championships, Champions league or Europa league or Conference league, meaning, the top clubs, in each season, if they go far in those competitions, they play 2 matches of 90 minutes for almost a whole season and most of those players are playing those 180 minutes weekly. Imagine how hard it must be 😂

Good Reaction Guys and I have attended 1,770 English matches and watched thousands more since I was around 8 years old in London, in 1962 so over 60 years ago. The DIFFERENCE between playing in the Top 2 Leagues is $240,000,000 A YEAR.. .....There are 92 Teams in the Top 4 Professional divisions. Football can be VERY FAST for 90+ minutes, NON-STOP and he is completely WRONG about "No one cares outside THe Premier League".Many of these teams outside the Premier League have existed for 130 years and one team, last season: LUTON TOWN gained their 5th Promotion to re-enter THe Top League having left there 30 years ago and got 4 relegations and now they are back from the dead.

14:11 the European Chamionship that happens every 4 years is International teams, so France vs England or Portugal vs Germany. The Champions League happens every year and is the best CLUB teams from Europe (so Barcelona, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City etc etc etc), this is the biggest competition in Football except the world cup (again World Cup is International teams so Brazil vs France, or Senegal vs Japan etc )

Regarding the signing young kids, outside of the US, sports are not associated with schools. Not at all. There is no High School soccer team. They only have club teams. So if you are from a city big enough to have multiple schools, kids from all the schools will play together on the same club as opposed to each playing for their own high school. Many of these clubs may be associated with a professional team. In these cases, instead of playing a fee to join a club, the kid will instead be paid a weekly amount to be a member of that club (paid for by the parent team). Each club will be for players at different ages, so there will be under 10, under 14, under 16 and under 18 clubs. As you get older, you will advance to the higher age clubs (but always for the same pro team). They even have under 20 and under 21 clubs. All these clubs, if owned by a parent pro team, are called "the Youth Academy" for that team. Basically they are a combination of what we would call the highschool/college teams and the minor league system all wrapped up into 1 system.

20:16 The 8 year olds dont play with the grown ups, obviously. =p They play at the youth academies of those professional teams. You don't really see someone debut for the main team until they're like 17-18.
@elliotlevi3411

Clubs sign kids to their youth academy, not their official A-team. The kids dont play against grown ups lol, they play against kids in their age. FC Barcelona for example has an A-team, and plenty of Youth teams. Its a bit different from NBA and NFL. It's like if the New England Patriots has an A-team (the one in the NFL), but then Patriots also has plenty of youth-teams where they could sign kids to play in.

38 games in the Premier League But then upto 7 or 8 games in each cup (FA Cu and League Cup) AND if you are in European competition (Champions League, Europa League and European Conference) you play up to another 12 to 15 games. If you are an English team and get to the ALL the finals and play the full league Calender you can play a total of 64 games. , Liverpool did this in 2022 (they won 2 of the 3 cup finals, and lost the League on the last day Man City won the Prem League and Real Madrid won the Champions League, Liverpool are the only English team to ever get to all 3 finals AND still have a chance of winning the league on the last day, no one has ever won a quad in England, but it has been done in Germany, Spain and Italy I think) So add to that International Games and a player could realistically play 70-80 games in a season, if their teams are doing well at club and international level

Just a lil more info that hopefully clears things up. Its called a "transfer" becasue a player can only be registered to one club at a time. So a club will purchase a player (after negotiating) to "transfer" the registration. Clubs can negotiate with clubs and then players for transfers at any time. But it can only be finalized during transfer windows

The Champions League is a greedy joke of a tournament now. Etched into the trophy (translated from the French) is: European Club Champions' Cup. Club champions, not club champions and a whole bunch of runners up who never actually win anything. The tournament was set up around 1960 as a champion of champions tournament among Europe's league champions. Even more despicable is that if you come from a smaller country like say Latvia but win your league you have to play qualifying rounds but if you come in second from places like England, Spain, Germany and Italy you go straight into the group stages. It should at least be set up in a way that no league champions should be having to play qualifying rounds.

A professional team can compete in: A- National league: there is 38 weeks, a win = 3 points, a draw = 1 point to each team, a loss = 0 points the team that gets most points by the end of the season will be declared as the champions of th league "the league ends after those 38 weeks, there is no playoffs" the teams that've finished the season at the bottom 3 of the table, they'll get relegated and replaced by the top 3 teams from the league that's below B- National cup: it's an elimination style of a competition "almost like the playoffs" that gathers all the leagues "tiers" of a the nation, and obviously the team who reaches the final and wins it gets the trophy as simple as that. C- Continental league: it's a competition that's designed almost like the world cup "group stage & then the knock-out stage" and it gathers the best teams from all around the continent... for example "the champions league, europa league etc.." So basically a team can win up to 3 trophies in a single season "4 in england", if a team manage to win all 3 available trophies we call it a treble, if they win 2 we call it a double, and if they win none we call it a trophyless season..

19:25 They dont give young players contracts, they legally can't. Instead Young players join academies where they are coached and if they are good enough, when they are 16-18 they will be offered a contract. Each year Academies take in around 50-200 young promising players, but in each year you might get 5-10 that are good enough to become pro's, and I mean at lower levels, NOT the Prem, maybe 1 from every 2 or 3 years will make it was a prem player on average. Manchester United had something like 8 come through from one year in teh late 90's and won the Prem and the Champions league with them, and also Barcelona hasd about 10 come through a couple of years which Messi was on of (also Xavi and Iniesta) and they won the Spanish League and Champions League too, so when that happens its rare but also speacial

07:41 This aint even half the positions. Example, Right wing can be a *"Winger" (lots of dribbling and crossing the ball/passing the ball from wide) * "Attacking Right Mid" (again lots of dribbling but less speed, maybe more tricks and more attempts to get in the Penalty box and play cut back passes along the floor) , *"Inside Right" (again dribbling but more central in the field, tend to stick to short passing and looking for assists), * *"Midfield Right" less about dribbling more about accurate crossing/long passing) That is just 1 position and there are at least 4 different "styles" of playing it There are probably 100 different positions or roles, some roles share aspects so you will only have 11 positions on a pitch due to the number of players, but in each positions there are 5-10 variations on how to play that role. Plus with different formation you have different roles built into the team. Football tactics are VAST and varied

When I were a lad substitutions were for injuries only. Since Covid you are allowed 5 subs now rather than just 3. In the days of just 3 subs it wasn't unheard of for a manager to have used up all 3 with still about 10 to 15 minutes to go then end up having a player injury meaning that they would have to play the remainder of the game a man down. The notion of these multi millionaire professional athletes being substituted off just because they feel a wee bit tired still seems ridiculous to me.
@nnoah7887
@nnoah7887 Жыл бұрын
better to sub off a tired player who could become injured than sub them off WHEN they're injured. with the amount of games teams have to play in the modern era, resting players is very key, this is why having team depth has become more important and the same reason liverpool fell off since about 2021, legs grew tired and they didnt have the depth to replace them. now they're building back up, and doing well.

in fifa ultimate team, you dont have to actually pay for player, you use real money to buy coins that helps you buy player, but you can get coins for free. at the end of each week you get rewards. it could be from coins, packs, weekend league points. but you dont actually have to use real money. ULTIMA TEAM in FIFA is the best because its like setting up your own dream team! but if you dont want to do that, you can just play seasons which is online and you just use club level team and you play people around the world

Isn't european soccer, it doesn't exist. Football (soccer) was created by the English in 1863 before american football (american football was created between 17 and 20 years (1880-1883) after football. Between 1880 and 1883, Walter Camp, coach of Yale, profoundly modified the rules and the spirit of the game: reduction of players from 15 to 11, reduction of the surface of the field and introduction of scrimmage. These modifications of Walter Camp are supplemented by others in the same period: a team must return the ball to the opponent if it has not managed to progress five yards in three attempts. American football was born. In fact, they adopt all the regulations of the English Rugby Federation with the exception of one detail, the counting of points. American football clearly different from its ancestors has yet to be created. The major difference between rugby and American football is that in American football they can pass to the front unlike in rugby where they must pass to the back to be able to pass the ball. The American football ball is oval, they almost never play on the feet except for penalties (pénalités) and the kick off. Football is playing mainly with the feet unlike American football which is 99% played with the hands. For me it's not American football but I rather call it American rugby. Rugby is closer to American football than football (soccer). Don"t call it soccer please, football is football. Please say "american football" to differentiate them. It makes no sense to call football a sport where they play almost with their hands. In football it is forbidden to play with the hands. In American football they don't play with their heads or knees, almost never with their feet (only kick off) and they can run into players without being warned, unlike football and these are not points but goals. In addition, the scores are much lower (in football there are few goals compared to points in American football. It's rare for a team to score more than 5 goals in a game.

@@koki84ji7 Who don't care means "everyone" and I am not "everyone". A sport called soccer that isn't played with the feet isn't football, it's American rugby. In France we can say "Etats-Unien for Etats-Unis/United States".
