I live in Prague and that Mattoni Cedrata isn't made from lemon juice. Cedrata is an ancient citrus fruit that is an ancestor of lemon, but is bigger and has a bumpy surface. The English name for Cedrata is Cedrate, but most folks don't come across that fruit anymore.

That's interesting. I live in the EU and have seen this fruit before but didn't know that it's actually different from a normal lemon. I thought it's just grown a bit uglier because, well nature, not everything that grows naturally looks like it comes out of a coloring book. Regards from Switzerland

Zbyszko Lemoniada label: water, sugar, apple juice from concentrate (15%), lemon juice from concentrate (3,5%), carbon dioxide, orange juice from concentrate (1,5%), lime-lemon natural aroma and other natural aroma, stabilizer 'something something' from plant based sap [probably the colouring you were talking about], aciditity regulator - citric acid, sweetener. 100ml = 20kcal, 4,9g sugar. Poland is the biggest exporter of apples in EU. 3rd in the world. Probably why high apple juice content in the 'lemonade'. I was shocked actualy that my country produces so many apples ~4 million tons per year. USA produces 5 million tons per year. Poland total country area ~300 000 km^2 while USA ~10 000 000 km^2. That is wild. Poland is 33 times smaller 🤣 Great video. Now I have to try Cedrata 😅

The truth is unfortunately that Zbyszko in this edition is not particularly good, "Three lemon's" is more like lemonade. Not to mention that in most large supermarkets, such as Lidl, Auchan or Carrefour you will find just pure lemonades with four or five ingredients, water, lemon juice, sugar, and maybe some other fruit, usually on the lowest shelf somewhere in the corner, because large corporations pay more to be in the middle of the shelf. For example, in my local greengrocer's there is Lemonade from the manufacturer "Moja Tłocznia" and it has an absolutely top composition.

On this channel it looks like there is serious interest to widen the own horizon. Alone the fact to do research and check stores to see where he can buy this stuff to actually try it is already well ahead of 90% of other reaction channels, that react to things in other countries and cultures. That's also the reason why this is one of the few reaction channels, where I actually leave a comment every now and then and also a like for the algorithm.

From my understanding it is all the Lefty "do-gooders" from places like California that came up with CARB restrictions on ordinary European/Asian style small cars (unibody) to reduce air pollution. So a tiny 1.6 litre car is hammered in tax because the manufacturers could not meet the politicians unrealistic demands back in the day. Truck based cars with an actual frame with the cab on top are exempt. Hence all the huge F150's, Silverados pickups and SUV's etc. with 7.2 litre oil burning engines totally destroying the planet. Yeah! Way to go MURIKA!

It was the only fizzy drink I was allowed to drink as a child. In the 90's it became popular all over the Netherlands. Brilliant drink and even healthy. Thanks Switzerland ❤

@@IWrocker if you will be able to get it you can try also Tymbark Po Prostu Kompotowy, there are multiple flavors but this is based on traditional Polish drink called kompot, which is made by cooking fruits like cherries, strwaberries, plums, apples and some other traditional polish fruits [every family have its own recipe :) ] in water, sometimes some suger is added if we use sour fruits. This drink made by Tymbark is not 100% the same but this is similar to what my grandmother used to make for me like 25-30 years ago. This is around 20-25 kcal per 100ml depending on flavour, a bit more then lemonade but some cane suger is added to some of the flavours.

To be precise - Lemon in english is Citrón in czech. Citron in english is Cedrát in czech. Lemon is hybrid between Citron and Tangerine. Mattoni Cedrata is supposed to be beverage from citrus fruits and the name refers to the "father" of citrus fruits - Cedrát (in czech, Citron in English). :) Mattoni also collaborate with czech Budvar, they produce their radlers (beer with flavored soda, popular in Germany), named BirGo. I also agree with 10/10 for SanPellegrino, I think it's like "Bentley between lemonades". Right behind her would be the lemon flavored Orangina (Lemongina) :)

And often - at least in western countries, the Citron used to be used as root stock for growing lemon, lime and orange trees. Not sure if they still use it, but we occasionality find them growing wild now in places where the original house was demolished and the old lemon tree has reverted.

Italian man here! I am sorry if i sound nitpicky a little bit, but Cedrata is not really a lemon based juice; Cedrata (which means "cedar/citron based drink in Italian) was invented initially in Italy in 1956 by "Cedral Tassoni" , an italian drink company (which is still present , in fact if you want to drink the best Cedrata, try Pellegrino or Tassoni , they are the best ) , and it' s a soft drink made by Citron juice, water, carbon dioxide (Co2) and sugar. The fruit is techically under the same family of Citruses, like lemons , but it's more a Cider. The fruit has a bumpy look and it's used to make the essence used for the sirup for the cedrata. It's a drink that a lot of italians like to have in the summer , some like to consume cool, others with some ice (i am in this category). This drink has become a symbol of childhood among the boomers generations, even though is still well liked among the youth (And for me, a nice memory of drinking it in the summer with my daughter when she was a child ❤). Thanks for trying it ! Ps. : San Pellegrino also has another type of drink that the old generations of Italians love : Chinotto ! San Pellegrino produces a drink named "Chinó", made with a specific type of bitter oranges , which originally came from China and now it's diffused all over the Mediterranian see . Chinotto now is mostly produced if i am not mistaken in Liguria and the Tirrenian coasts. In the drink, they use the fruits and the flowers, giving a very bitter (but delicious ) orange taste 😊

Agreed, San Pelegrino is in the top. Sadly, I didn't try the other 2, but what I found is a good refreshing lemonade is the R Whites Lemonade the one in a can if you can find. They are made and sold in UK. Might be lucky to find them in an international shop. They mostly use High fructose corn syrup because it is cheaper than normal sugar, and they can find it easier and in higher quantities. And I totally agree that the more sweet the drink is, the more you need to drink it over and over again to satisfy your thirst.

San Pellegrino also has (at least) two Ice Tea flavors that are available in Germany in the "San Pellegrino Creazioni" range, which has much less sugar than the lemonades. The cans look similar but with slightly more muted colors. I think it's only 1,6 % sugar or something, and no additional sweeteners. The Ice Teas in particular have a very satisfying and full taste, while some of the others Creazioni are a little too bland for my taste.

From what I saw in your videos, I think you should move to Czech republic :D. Mattoni is one the main producers of mineral waters in Czechia. The Mattoni water is from mineral water source near Karlovy Vary. As a product, besides it’s sold without flavour in more or less sparkling variants, it comes in lots of flavours. The first three flavours were lemon, orange and grapefruit if I remember right from my childhood. Then the Mattoni line was expanded with more flavours like raspberry, peach, apple, pomegranate, etc. Recently it was expanded with cedrata and some other flavours in those beer cans, which came to the market couple of years ago. Before that, it usually was (and still is) sold in plastic bottles. Despite the fact I sometimes feel a little inappropriate walking with beer can on the street, I prefer those cans over the plastic bottles. It’s much more refreshing. Cedrata is an Italian name for this specific drink. It’s made from cedrate, which is some sort of “wild” lemon. We would call it “cedrát”, but most of Czech people wouldn’t know what it is. The C would be pronounced as “tse”. But since Cedrata is italian drink, I think it doesn’t matter. Everybody just pronounce it their way :). I read it with that “tse”. I think there is a little chance you could find some of our less known sodas (Bohemsca, Pragerova limonáda, Karáskova limonáda, Něcojako, Zázračná (unfortunately discontinued), ZON (the cheapest and the worst with lot of memories)) in your EU grocery store, but I think you could find German sodas there. Germany is the leader when it comes to the sparkling sodas. For example Wostok, BioZisch, Fritz-Kola/Fritz-Limo, Club Mate, MezzoMix. Then there is Austrian Almdudler or Polish On Lemon. Those are really good as well. Thanks for the video and cheers to the US.

When my friend got that one, he said "refreshing and mildly sweet" which is funny to me, cause I tend to buy the bigger batches and mix it to my own taste, since the bottles that pre-mix it when you open em feel too sweet to me.
