Mariya's 1st and only loss at a big event. Soon after, her dominance started.

Not so, I can't recall all of her losses but she certainly lost to Y.M. in the Diamond League (Brussels) last year.

Lasitskene was still called Kuchina back then. She's been very good for a long time, 8 or 9 years now, at the end of 2021. Many are no longer competing in major international events, like Beitia, Licwinko, Jungfleisch, Green, etc.

Ruth Beitia is now (2021-2022) a member of congress in Spain. She had tremendous endurance as a high jumper and won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympics at the age of 37. Here she was 35 years old. Her best was 2.02 which she jumped back in 2007.

@@pisalpakya6132 No? Anything 2 meters or more is a good height to clear. On their best days, Lasitskene has cleared 2.05, Mahuchikh 2.06, but who else in the world has gone over 2.03 lately? I can't think of anyone.

Simic and palsyte had similar age to mariya lesitkene but because of injured both right now on decline, and this was the last time sweden had top jumpers after retirement of kajsa bergqvist and last time emma green competing on top level
