What an INCREDIBLE day for Italian athletics. The crowd were vocal and passionate and generated such a great atmosphere also. I really thought these championships would be weakened and flat with the Olympics so close, but no chance. Yesterday was one of the most memorable day of athletics I have EVER seen. What Tentoglou is talking about at 8:10 is the build-up to his last two jumps. He achieved a new lifetime best and championship record of 8.65 meters on his 5th jump. By the time of his 6th jump, he knew he'd already won the gold medal and didn't need to jump again, but the 8.65 was just 1 centimeter off the Greek national record, so he went for it. It was another huge jump. The atmosphere was electric as everyone waited for the measurement which, after an agonizing wait, came to exactly... 8.65 meters AGAIN! The look on his face was priceless, like "are you freaking kidding me???" 🤣🤣🤣

None of them is naturalized, are ALL born in Italy and ALL with mother or father Italian (Jacobs, Simonelli and Furlani), just Chituru-Ali is "all" black BUT is born and raised in Como (Lombardy), so is more Italian than any Italian-American (or whatever), who says he is Italian but KNOWS NOTHING about Italy, NOTHING on culture and NOTHING on language. Regarding Jacobs, despite having injuries since he was 20 years old (he had to abandon the long jump for this reason), has 2 Olympic gold medals, a World silver and 2 European gold medals, indoor instead has 1 World gold and 1 European gold; people who talk about doping (almost always Americans and English, you have no shame really), don't know anything about him and his sports career.
