The passion of cycling goes deep in Eritrea.. Cycling competitions were introduced by the italians but Eritreans embaced as thier own even after Italians left and Ethipians stepped in. It was banned for few years during the war.. then it was allowed again. The passison of cycling is only matched by soccer in Eritrea. I believe this is just the begining, it is a matter of time to see an Eritrean win the yellow jersey..
