Amazing year. I absolutely loved the host, stage. The postcards were cool, and RTL (formerly CTL) did a beautiful job, not a amazing year, but definitely not a bad one either. My top 5: Sweden - 1st Ireland - 2nd United Kingdom - 3rd Luxembourg - 4th Portugal - 5th

19- I really enjoyed it, underrated I thought 18- I like his voice but the song is pretty naff 17- Her voice annoys me a lot 16- It's so annoying but I love it at the same time 15- They're full of energy, the song is pretty basic 14- A good winner, I enjoyed it at least 13- My favourite, such a great and cool entry and I love the use of the harmonica 12- A really sweet entry, much better from Spain 11- It's alright, didn't deserve last 10- A very dramatic ballad from Netherlands 9- A huge grower on me. I love this now 8- Our entry, people booed this, they probably weren't keen on the wigs. Good song 7- It's pretty basic and boring 6- Was quite underrated, I liked it 5- Everyone loves this, I like it but it doesn't win me over by much 4- Such a catchy and happy entry. Anything Hot Eyes do is great 3- It's a sweet and pretty ballad 2- Really good pop song, great from Ireland 1- Yeah, I heard this the other day and I still am not a huge fan

I don't know why but Luxembourg's Song is stuck in my head. At random moments my head would just go "Donnez-Moi! Cent pour cent D'amour! Pour le partager tous les jours. Avec le ciel, Avec le gens, oh!"

I just finished watching ESC 1984 and summarised it to my friends in an audiomessage. I've opened this video to see Connor's opinion - and, creepily, Connor's opinion is almost literally the same as what I told my friends. Of course, I said it in Russian, not in English - and I've mentioned a spectacular work on postcards before mentioning the host (she's great, I agree). And like 4 or 5 words were slightly different. Also, I didn't know ANYTHING about this year's contest (except for the winner, because, you know, winners compilations I've seen like ten years ago). And in the end of my message I assumed that the fact that Sweden was first (it was very good, but not 10/10 great) and I've waited for a song that will be better than Sweden in my mind - and never got it - influenced my opinion on the show overall. My top-10 (I've made it before watching the voting process) is: 10. Denmark 9. UK 8. Ireland 7. Germany 6. Finland 5. Portugal 4. Turkey (I thought it was funny Turkey brought a 'generic Israeli entry'-lite; and when Portugal finished singing I was like: 'Okay, number 20, last one, Israel, please bring me class' - and the show finished, there was no Israel, it was said; Israel got my second place for three years in a row in 1981-83, losing only to Portugal, Germany and the UK respectively, so I had my expectations!) 3. Switzerland 2. France 1. Sweden

Brand new sentence: Luxembourg’s 🇱🇺 song sounds like a South Eastern Asian kids song. And I’ve heard a lot of them when I was little. Look up The He Tre on YT and you’ll see.
