Croatia was the best, while the others are too weak, and if only Sweden representative sang that song in Swedish version again(like what she.did in melodifestivalen 1999), it would be just better. But in overall, Croatia was my winner!

Croatia finished 4th that night, but some time later was announced that 1/3 of their votes are subtracted as a penalty, coz at the playback a man's voice can easily be heared, yet there is no man on stage singing! I don't know what happened with that later on, but it's obvious that they broke the rules.

OMG, 1999 was my absolute nr.1 edition of the ESC. I know every song and I still sing them. Like a story all songs passed us by. With "Strazdas" as a vocal warming up, through "Diamond of Night" as being the last song from the latest millennium. ♥

1999 fue el año de la muerte de Eurovisión por la desaparición de la orquesta en vivo y por la libertad de idioma (libertad, más bien, de cantar en inglés). Como dijo Johnny Logan, "se convirtió en una especie de karaoke barato". Una pena. No hay más que ver a la ganadora.

Lithuania stood out from them all and the only pure voice I hear, which came from nature itself. For those who listen to trashy pop songs like most of these, listen - the reason Lithuania sounds horrible to you is because the song is beyond your understanding. (How can people like CROATIA? Nothing against Croatian people but that song is disgusting)
