This is the guy who has the skill and power to sing Granada which isn't the easiest song to sing. I'm still hoping we'd send Poets of the Fall to ESC one day. They'd blow the competition out of the water.

​​@@DeltaSilver88POTF is awesome youre right, but i think we might not even make it to final with an already internationally known act. Like The Rasmus, who's song got underrated imo. We would have so many bands and artists who could blow everyone away in there, you might know this. Sillanpää was a great singer in his prime but it wasnt natural for him to use english. Same goes to many others who had a career with Finnish language. I don't really know what is the problem that keeps the big artists out of Eurovision in Finland. I have started to even think about some kind of conspiracies lol.... For example Nightwish got blocked from the ESC by the jury though Finns wanted them. When i look at the winner of that year which i think was 2000, well... No question for me. They might have won, or i'd say they would have won it.

The song deserves a place in the Eurovision history as the first performed entry in the first ever semifinal. The first ever winner was Serbia (and Montenegro). The first ever 12 points in the semifinal were for Estonia.

To me it represents a time the Finnish eurovision deciders didnt think through everything in the songs they sent there. Though this was also Finns favorite because Jari was the older populations most known and loved male singer at the time. They believed in him , though his career before this included only a lot softer Finnish ballads and love songs. First of all English is not natural to sing for Jari, and during this time he was a magnificent singer in Finnish language, so the language was wrong. Then, singing about demons wasnt normal in mainstream music of 2004. However, what we didnt know during this time is that Jari already had bad personal problems that maybe show in the song he choosed to sing. The song structure is good but many things were made wrong. Maybe Lordi watched this like "what halleluja are they singing? Damn!! I'll show them a real halleluja!"

If you look at the songs that got relegated like Laura Voutilainen's Addicted to You, Jasmine (though she had a small error while singing, didn't deserve last place), and even Cat Cat, i would say there was defenately something weird going. Also look at Finnish song of 1988 which was placed last....
