Many colourful opinions here. Please keep in mind I'm not biased or anything. I place the songs in the order of my personal preference, I'm not against any particular country. I do want to add comments on each song to explain my motives, but it just takes too much of my time. Someday in the future I will add comments in the subtitles section. Also, if you wonder why this video went by a bit fast, it's because KZbin keep blocking my videos, so I have to make the clips shorter. Peace and love everybody.

Compared to most of their other entries in this decade and both entries of James Newman (even though I think, that Germany should have finished last and gotten 0 points, not him), YES, but 2018 and 2014 were better, also 2015, particularly bc it's funny. And in terms of this Contest, I think at least they deserved to be in the final and I think, they also would have qualified, if they weren't automatically qualified. But there where at least 10 to 15 songs, that were better that year.

It was a good song, but I think the San Remo performance was better. The camerawork in Eurovision was not the best, too many wide shots which made the podium seem really empty. The San Remo performance was more intimate, close-up shots which worked a lot better for me at least. Still love the song and it makes me happy. Missed opportunity for sure.

Till 2017 France 1969 (Un jour, un enfant) was always my ESC number one! But since 2017 Portugal is for me the best ESC song ever, and 'Un jour, un enfant' comes on 2. Thanks for overrating our superboring entry. I'm not saying, where I'm from, you know, for the sake of anonymity. But I really wondered, how we could even qualify for the final, while better songs and better voices (eg Georgia) didn't make it. I think, our rank in televoting says all. And you rated our song even much higher than our actual rank back then. Wow, thanks. I myself wouldn't rank us last either, but surely near the bottom. Definitely in the bottom 10, even though it was a weak year altogether.

My top: 1. France, very fancy and French, and love the song 2. Netherlands, Love their harmonised voices, and the song wasn’t that bad 3. Albania, HOW DID THIS NOT QUALIFY, winner quality, and if I’m right, this holds the record (in esc) of the longest set of notes in one breath 4. Denmark, Anja has such a good voice, song was good, think that being before the winner and after a fan favourite ruined it a little bit 5. Cyprus, It’s catchy, not sure how it got 21st 6. Bulgaria, good song, and surprising that he’s only 17, but I think too overrated by fandom, and I’m not an angry Kristian fan so 6th suit’s this 7. Moldova, Like the song, and the return of an esc legend 8. Belgium, Look at Bulgaria 9. Israel, The song is good, nothing else to say 10. Azerbaijan, The song is catchy, my pre-show winner, but it has become more repetitive so it dropped down

Very disappointed that Estonia - Koit Toome & Laura - Verona > wasn't chosen for performing the song in the Grand Final Show. I mean i respect your opinion, but sometimes you rank songs that are objectively bad, like Spain 2017 and San Marino 2015, too high. Like it's not even matter of opinion, they're unironically bad. It's HIS list, HIS ranking, it is subjective. Why he needs to "explain" it? It's like, I have a boyfriend who is objectively ugly by the nowadays standards, and I just see something in him and have to explain everybody else why I am with him 😄. There is no objectively bad song, because on the end, nation of that country chose it to represent them. One of the weakest years at all with 2018, majority of songs were mediocre and forgetable radiopop. Portugal won because it was completely different, maybe not very interesting song, but one of few songs you can remember after first hearing because of difference and Salvador's performance. My favourite was Belgian song. But there was very few to remember: mostly several staging details.
