Hardy Star I actually voted for Slovenia and Romania! (that is absolutely not a lie) I really really like the Romanian song and it is a shame that Europe thinks different. But this music genre is so amazing and it should be more represented in Eurovision ♥

My first reaction when Slovenia's song was first annouced was the ironic "Hvala, ne!". But I must say I am warming up to it. Her performance was the best of the night. Happy for Serbia and Hungary, sad for Malta.

Because Russia is normally an obvious qualifier due to its status, and you want the last announcement to be a surprise.

Like last semi, the suprise qualifier left last, and generally the best and the surprise are left for the last... anyway... i'm romanian and when they said first 7 countries, i was like... myeah, first time not going to final...

I guess the organizers would want to avoid the risk of ending the resuts with a booo from the crowd although I think it's ridiculous that we have to worry about it and the people who were booing while Julia was being interviewed in the green room are disgusting

schoumaldonado Well, he made his predictions based on wishful thinking by including Georgia and Malta. One of them could have slipped through, perhaps, but not both. So he was bound to be disappointed. I'm not sure who has the highest share of correct predictions over the years among the Wiwibloggs team, but I'm pretty sure by now it's not Deban 😉. He also was certain Georgia would qualify last year. I did not dare to believe Slovenia would go through, but still voted for it thrice, and apparently that was enough.

Okay, i have got a couple things to say 1. If y’all are so sad for Poland and Malta, you should have voted for them, don’t say they got robbed when the qualifiers are chosen by your votes. 2. Can someone please explain the hate for the Netherlands? I mean yes i think the staging is very chaotic and i don’t like it but people saying it’s basic? I mean do you have carrots in your ears? Most of the bloggers are just journalist. They are not expert in music, but yet they have a strong influence to change people’s opinion about something or someone. If they dislike someone, they can use the media to break him/her. It is so subjective, dirty and unfair. Just because you dislike one music genre, song and the singer’s personality, doesn’t mean that you can not appreciate it and give a recognition it deserved.

I haven't been so sure of qualification of Poland for years! And then... flop! Sorry to say but (as I know my country) times of power ballads are coming back again for the following years. But still the grand final will be great and I'm happy Waylon got through ;)

Such a poor semi-final especially compared to Tuesday night. I found it hard to go beyond 7 songs that I wanted to qualify. There were at least 5 songs from Semi 1 that would have easily qualified if they had been in this semi-final.

I agree with all the qualifers... even Serbia because if we compare with other entries they actually were good: Norway: I'm sorry I know that is Rybak and people expected a lot, but can we be honest? The song is not that bad, is actually enjoyable. People are just hating because they expected too much. For me it was a deserved qualifer; Romenia: I like rock music... but I never really liked this song and lets be honest that mannequins really freak me out; Serbia: I still don't like the song, I hated the performance and didn't want them to qualifer, but they were the least worst of the ones I hated the most so... congrats Serbia; San Marino: I liked the robots... that's it; Denmark: YES, YES, YES, ten times YES, great performance and stage. I was a little bit worried about him at first because his voice was cracking but he got his nerves right and made a great perfomance. For me it was a deserved qualifer; Russia: OH MY GOD, what a disaster; Moldova: I still don't like the song but they made a god job and in the end of the day, I will remember them. For me it was a deserved qualifer; The Netherlands: It's not my cup of tea but I liked the performance so it was a deserved qualifer; Australia: Another country that receives hate just because is Australia. Like I said about Norway, the song is not that bad. Her vocals were actually better that I tought it would be. For me it was a deserved qualifer; Georgia: There were people singing or models? Because they almost didn't move. Even my mom didn't liked this... and she loves this kind of music; Poland: Ugh, ok. I'm so sorry Poland but I have to say, it was a weird and forgettable entry. His voice was not good and the another guy's moves made want to slap him in the face; Malta: I was one of the few people that really liked this song but Malta really messed up this. They wanted to make a lot with dark effects; Hungary: I hate the song but in the end of the day they will be remembered so it was a deserved qualifer; Latvia: Yeah, the perfomance seem a copy of "Love Injected". It didn't go well; Sweden: I really like the song, but that stage and his moves, god damitt, I hate. Whatever, for me it was a deserved qualifer, but just for the song; Montenegro: I don't even remember anything of the performance. I'm sorry?; Slovenia: I never really liked the song, but damm she made such a good job that made me want her in the final. Congrats Slovenia, you slayed. For me it was a deserved qualifer; Ukraine: Man, I have a feeling that MÉLOVIN won the semi... man he was great. For me it was a deserved qualifer.

I never really liked Malta's song but she really sold it tonight! She should've made it, she is this semi-final's Switzerland. Poland as well, I thought they would easily make it but maybe the lack of the UK diaspora hindered them... Romania looked much better in full than in the rehearsal snippet so I'm sad they didn't qualify as they've made it to the final with much worse!

Foxychik40 Yes, I noticed this right away. So rude especially when Alex was so nice to Deban on the blue carpet. They all could've politely applauded. They freaking knew it would qualify! And even if they don't like the song they could've applauded for the person Alex is. But oh how loudly they applauded for Australia. How is her song any better than Alex's?? It was just as obvious a qualifier as Norway. And I don't get the shock over the Netherlands qualifying. That's been consistently up there in the betting odds the whole time even if it dropped down a bit. Malta on the other hand was never more than a bubble candidate.
