Bulgaria objectively deserved to win this year. Amazing lyricism, meaningful choreography, impactful yet smooth, strong instrumental and well structured. Amazing piece of art!

I think 2020 is actually a pretty strong year... maybe lacking BIG HITS but overall pretty consistent i would say... just more "serious" entries.

Honestly, I think Italy would have won this year in an "Insieme" kind of way. It's like Italy had so many great entries in the 1980s, but eventually won with "Insieme".

heppolo Yeah but those were different times tbh, don’t think Italy would win this year:)

Fair enough, I just think once in every 4-5 years the winner should be not as obvious. Bulgaria would have suffered from too many Billie Eilish comparisons (jury would have held back a little, I guess), Switzerland was a bit up Duncan street and the winner is more likely to be a complete opposite of the previous year's one (except for that 2003-2005 ethnopop streak), that's also Italy's fault btw. Iceland seems a bit too inoffensive, Lithuania's slightly polarizing, Russia's ripping off Verka's formula with a touch of Die Antwoord. So many options tbh.

heppolo well yeah I think Italy could be in top 5, but winning nah, it’s very good, but don’t see it as an actual winner. We’ll never know though

the only caveat is that at least "Uno" can't win, because eurofans would have been laughed out of the room had it won)

I'm pretty much sure Switzerland would have won this year, but I can't decide who is my favourite, there is not one song that is my absolute winner. If Elvana Gjata, Francesco Gabbani, Blasted Mechanism or Erika Vikman won in their nfs they would be my winners. By the way, I actually don't think this year was so unpredictable. Like, yesterday I listened to the all songs of the ESC 2016 and there were more than 10 songs that I could really see winning. The Netherlands is my winner of the Eurovision 2016, I wish they won then.🙄 tho Croatia was my favourite that year during contest, but I knew just a few songs because it was my first year watching Eurovision. I didn't even know how many countries qualify then.

This year I think VICTORIA or The Roop or Gjon’s Tears maybe. I cannot see Italy winning this year. I love the songs of 2020 because we have quality. Maybe just maybe I could see Destiny win.

IMO Italy should have won in 2019. This year was not it for them! Jamala was not my winner, but i understood why she won. ANd i started to like the song after the festival was over. My favorite era of Eurovision overall the last decade was between 2009-2012. I can't really pick a year. I also agree about 2018 and 2019.

Let's face it, Jamala won because Russia was penalized by the juries. If there wasn't a conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Sergey would have won easily and Jamala would have been placed in top 5 at the best scenario.

Jamala was not a good winner and of course she is not a good person, just see videos and what she did at the Eurovision selection in the public television...She is bad

1944 didn't deserve to win
@heppolo4 жыл бұрын
idk, a really tough cookie, that fast-food Russian song was just a recyclage of Ani Lorak, Mans Zelmerlow, etc. sprinkled with too much glitter. 1944 is too "in your face", especially the broken English lyrics, I'd prefer the whole song to be in Crimean Tatar. Bulgaria was nice, but all those love songs are ten a penny in Eurovision.

@@heppolo Yes it was a copy of Mans but Sergey did it 100 times better
@heppolo4 жыл бұрын
Idk, Sergey's attitude was good, but he looked more like an excellent student that was given an assignment (deserved an A+) rather than a singer-songwriter singing a song from the heart. Also that whole staging was all kinds of random, that bit where Sergey was flying on a 8bit asteroid made me laugh out loud so much. The kitchen sink Kirkorov approach with an enormous budget Mans could have only dreamt of. Sergey was my own 5th-6th place of 2016, the whole package looked astonishing on screen.
@irisselene23254 жыл бұрын
@@heppolo Idk but I wasn't a big fan of Mans performance, it did not Wow me at all unlike everyone else it seems. The one that made me wow the whole song was Sergeys. I still can't understand how they did all of that. And it pisses me off that Mans won with that when Sergey came with an even better version of the same type of performance and finished third. I just didn't get it. Like everyone liked mans and were impressed and weren't impressed by Sergeys like wth XD. I mean I also didn't understand how ppl didn't appreciate Australia in 2019 more... I just don't understand people.

That is my favourite of all time. It got me more hooked on ESC after seeing that performance.

i hate Jamala for bringing politics to eurovision. she spread hate and that's why she will remain one least like-able winners ever. just check out her videos and recaps. so many negative comments (for a reason). The song is great - not gonna lie. And the EBU also needs to be blamed for allowing it. They should have requested the song title to be changed.
