Wow. The official statement is out. Apparently a Swedish camerawoman kept filming him, after repeated requests to stop it. He then “made a threatening gesture towards the camera.” Nobody was touched, just a threatening motion after being harassed. Apparently that gets you disqualified.

EBU should protect more the artists like Joost. Joost does get emotional after the last words of his song as his father died. It's not respectful to put a camera in your face when you are full of emotions. Especially when you ask several times to stop filming like Joost did. EBU should sue the camera lady, not Joost.

A 'warning gesture' translated as a 'threatening gesture', that is exactly what this is, nothing more, nothing less. It happens much more often that 'victims' commit rights related abuse by provoking faulty reactions, violating the agreements/rules/laws of privacy, and committing harassment. All three of these things have been done by this woman, but political correctness concerning the position of certain people in society has become a weapon in terms of law in any way these people find it to be useful. This is what hyperfeministic organisations like the #MeToo movement has caused and brought us: people who think they can do anything within the boundaries of laws to abuse others by any way of provoking. 'Abuse of rights' is a crime too, you know.

EBU had actie moeten ondernemen van het ongepaste gedrag van de camera vrouw. Na het optreden, wat eindigd met de emotionele boodschap over Joost zijn ouders. Dien je respect te tonen naar de wens van Joost niet gefilmd te willen worden. De reactie van Joost is voor iedereen te begrijpen en heeft niemand aangeraakt. Blijkbaar mag en kan je je eigen grenzen niet aangeven bij Eurovisie .. triest.

@@ruis_official als Israël niet gekwalificeerd wordt na diverse klachten van andere landen over het gedrag van de delegatie. Sowieso had Israël niet mee mogen doen dit jaar, een land die de oorlogsmisdaden pleegt met tienduizenden doden tot nu toe. De vergelding op de aanval van oktober door Hamas is buiten proportioneel. De EBU zegt dat politiek niet telt maar voor Israël wel. Maar ja de sponsor Moroccan Oil is Israëlisch en wie betaald bepaald.

Ik ben 56. Ik keek vanaf mijn 6de naar het ESC. Tot donderdag. Sinds 2014 (Toen won wurst met een baard en niet Ilse/Waylon hoewel het publiek massaal op hun gestemd hadden) kijk ik met gemengde gevoelens hoe die landen winnen. Vaak politiek gezien. During a press conference,s Polish journalist asked the Israeli contestant, Golan, whether she thought her participation might pose a security risk to others, given Israel's ongoing military actions in Gaza,. referencing the pro-Palestinian rallies in Malmo during the Eurovision Song Contest. Swedish presenter Jovan Radomir quickly intervened, informing Golan that she doesn't have to answer this question. It was at this moment that Joost Klein, interjected with a simple "Why not?", that challenged the avoidance of this delicate subject. This indicated his support for transparency and dialogue on difficult topics. His disqualification followed shortly after this interaction, not immediately after the alleged threatening gesture made days earlier toward a crew member. Additionally, if a formal complaint has been filed with Swedish police, the EBU should have allowed the legal process to conclude before taking action. Presuming innocence until proven guilty is a fundamental principle that should have guided their actions.

Joost Klein denkt met al z'n allure dat hij kan doen en laten wat hij wil en zeker de laatste tijd is het 'm een beetje te hoog in de bol gaan zitten. Toegegeven, het is het vervelend als je niet gefilmd wilt worden, dat herhaaldelijk aangeeft bij de persoon in kwestie en dan vervolgens genegeerd daarin wordt. Dat is wellicht een verklaring voor zijn 'uitspatting' maar totaal geen excuus natuurlijk om dan maar als reactie dreigementen te gaan uiten, of dit nu verbaal of non verbaal gebeurd. Blijkbaar in Nederland vinden we dat allemaal heel normaal tegenwoordig en passeren dreigement de revue maar in het buitenland kijken ze daar toch (terecht) heel anders nog naar. Joost 'clown' Klein is dan ook terecht gediskwalificeerd vanwege zijn gedrag. Alleen dat linkse woke publiek loopt natuurlijk weer te janken zoals verwacht, des te mooier dan ook dat dit is gebeurd.
