I was so impressed by Nemo. I think they will probably win jury vote. But still my favorite was Baby Lasagna, omg his energy and how the crowd was, it was amazing. And he improved and I think he will still improve. It was 3 am when I watched the performance and it made me wanna dance. And Bambie was incredible too, I can't wait to see them on the big stage.

There's something I don't understand. Let's take Nemo for example. We all see and hear the same performance, but the perception is different. Some people say he sings well, other people say it was not that good. The same for Mustii. Do we all hear what we wanna hear? Strange!

No but why did NO-ONE sound bad vocally??? I swear every year there's always 2 or 3 acts who we're questioning vocally (last year it was Mae and Mia+Dion), but EVERYONE was either good, amazing, or just simply out of this worldly in the form of Slovenia and Switzerland. The improvements of baby lasagna and aiko are beautiful to watch, and yeah AAAAAHHHHH!!! I know not all of the artists performed (Estonia and the Netherlands being big absentees) but everyone who did was basically flawless and cemented my absolute love for this year!!!

@@dimidrugg9592 yeah, but I guess what I meant was that we were missing acts who we still have doubts over their live vocal (Estonia's eesti laul performance was messy to say the least and we've not heard Joost live properly yet, for me that video on his channel doesnt count lol), and we've got all the evidence in the world to show that slimane can sing live and then some.

I think you underestimate the pressure, anxiety and stage fright that a contest like this can bring and the amount of focus it also requires: the whole world's watching! Even if they make mistakes while singing live on eurosong, it's not becouse they lack in vocal capacity and techniques, sometimes the emotion just gets the upper hand... They're just human... and it would seem Italy also conquered Spaniards becouse many were singing Noia too...

Last night was CRAZY Aiko did soo well! The 'worst' part was that you coluldn't hear her at times, but it was mostly during verses; the chorus sounded great and she can sing the big note at the end too! There was less moving than in the national final. but it looked better, I'm so happy! Falling in love with dizzy even more, he gives the song so much life Same for Ladaniva and Megara. Iolanda, Teya Dora and Raiven are vocal powerhouses! In general it's insane that there were actually so many performances that I preferred over the national final ones, like Loop, In the middle, Teresa & Maria, Doomsday Blue and Pedestal. And it seems like we might have a year where every artist can sing and perform their song???? (Might be biased but I think this year has some of the best artists) And what I also absolutely love is how at this rate every potential winner is FULLY deserving of it, Mustii, Angelina Mango, Jerry & alyona, Baby Lasagna, they gave it all their everything And even with how amazing everyone was, Nemo is still the clear standout for me! I have to reorganize my ranking later, but I think they're definitely in my Top 3 now!

Each ESC winner had a lot of haters or indifferent people, no matter who won, people would complain. But they have the biggest winner potential imo, even if it's not my personal winner. But we need to see the stagings and full package to judge ;)

Nice to see this ranking from you. Here are some of my thoughts on the pre-party performances from last night: *1.* Apparently *Nebulossa* are not getting rid of the dancers. Too bad. *2.* *Finland* works very well live, even if the song is still not good. They are both good performers. I see it grow on me after Eurovision. *3.* After last night I am more confident in *Malta* qualifying. *4.* It looks like *Austria* will be the Fuego/SloMo/Unicorn of Eurovision 2024. That song makes so much noise on stage. *5.* Both *Aiko & Baby Lasagna* improved their vocals a lot. I still don't believe in Czechia qualifying, but I now expect a decent performance. *6.* *Portugal* will qualify. Mark my words. *7.* I have to disagree about *Switzerland.* Nemo was vocally great, but they lacked energy. I expect a more sincere performance in Malmö (without technical issues). *8.* I also didn't enjoy *Mustii* a lot. Falling to the crowd was too much. *9.* *BESA* needs to work on her stage presence & *SABA* should be more relaxed. *LUNA* was better than I anticipated. *10.* *LADANIVA* disappointed me too. If they give a "go girl, give us nothing" performance like this in Malmö, maybe Armenia should say goodbye to the final. *11.* Teya Dora, Raiven, Angelina Mango, Nutsa Buzaladze & Hera Björk all slayed last night. Olly Alexander & Dons also professionals. *12.* *Bambie Thug* know what they're doing. *MEGARA* dark horse. Overall: I watched these performances for entertainment purposes only. I am not going to make predictions (or adjust my personal ranking) based on these because there are many fallacies about doing that: technical issues, concert vibe, lack of staging, bad day for an artist etc.

Thank you so much for your extended comment. I agree about Spain, I hope dancers will have more clothes on the ESC stage. I don't really like Finnish singer’s with cap vocals (if I can call it that way), as it was with Let 3 lead vocalist last year. Malta has a very generic song, but the performance is very good. Greece, Georgia, Austria, Matla are all in the 2nd semi, and at least one of them will not qualify. I don't think Austria has a huge potential (vocals seem not so confident, maybe it will look more raw rave on the bigger stage, but I doubt it. Italy and Greece seem much more solid in this perspective. I hope Marina Satti will perform well. If Aiko will move and have breath control at the same time, she has some chances to qualify. Baby Lasagna really improved a lot, so much energy. I really hope both Serbia and Portugal will qualify, so emotional. I felt that Nemo was really enjoying the stage, and it was a pretty energetic performance imo. Good camera angles, maybe some effect of shaking, camera flips will add dynamics on ESC. Mustii performance gave me a bit of mixed feelings tbh. Agreed with the rest for 100%. I change my top after pre-parties. Ofc all those factors you’ve mentioned play a part, but it's important how performers can present their songs on their own, without epic staging, overcome technical issues and keep the audience entertained.

Hi ^^ My Top 26 of those Performances: 1. Croatia- he is coming to slay. Absolutely Awesome. Hopefully the sleeves from the NF wont return 2. Malta- we knew since MESC that she can Perform. And damn she can, this Performance was fire and she is vocally perfect. Will qualify, fight me 3. Italy- put her on the stage, and you have everything you need. She can nail it 4. Belgium 5. Switzerland 6. San Marino 7. Germany 8. Serbia 9. Portugal 10. Lithuania 11. Latvia 12. Slovenia 13. Ukraine 14. Armenia 15. Ireland 16. Nemo literally had such a bad performance. Maybe its cause you want it to be good. His falsetto was fine, but they are easy, most of his song he struggled, his voice struggled almost all the time, vocal, breathing, even changing to falsetto when he should not cause he could hit the note and sometimes stopped singing completely.

Imo it was a great performance technically, but which is more important emotionally. They really enjoyed it, and did it seem so easy, while it's a very challenging song. And they they still moved throughout the performance which is wow.

@@linsteps I wouldn't rush things. It's too early to judge the bookmakers, their forecasts will change. Switzerland is already their leader. Plus, Croatia resembles Finland from last year (like Malta - Slomo). If Italy will be second by jury and public, then it can win. As for Israel, I suspect that some Western juries will boycott it.
