Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel.
Today I am revisiting the BEST SCENE EVER (Sing Along) from the brand new Eurovision Movie: The Story of Fire Saga (Now available on Netflix)
BE WARNED: SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS, so if you haven't watched it yet be sure to do so if you don't want spoilers!
This is a genuine reaction, granted I saw the movie once before reacting to this scene, but I geeked out so much that it all became a blur!

Dan Stevens plays Alexander Lemtov. Eric Mjönes provides his singing voice. This was not the original plan. Dan was actually supposed to record his own vocals. He was all set to record his version of the track and everything, but then the pandemic happened and everyone was put on lockdown. Dan wasn’t able to travel to the recording studio, but the song still needed to be recorded, so they had Eric do it instead.

Eurovision 2021 needs a mash-up like this for the interval act. Bringing back former winners and contestants to entertain the 200 million viewers!! That would be classic Eurovision, yes?

Like they did 2019 with former contestants singing new versions of songs. We have this concept in Sweden and this idea comes from The Netherlands so let´s hope they do this in large scale in ESC Rotterdam 2021.

Luke. I feel what you feel about the film and this scene. This is just pure awesomeness. Also my favorite cameos were Conchita, Loreen and Jamala. This is my TOP 3 of the cameos. Every cameo in this scene was just so great. A couple of people I would'v loved to see in this scene: Guy Sebastian and Dami Im. I think they would've been a perfect fit for this scene.

Omg, Jamala, Elina and Conchita killed it! I hope people look up their music after this. But the whole scene was just a treat for us Eurovision fans. All that was missing was Johnny Logan and Mans duet! How fun would that be!

Wonderful scene! My favourite celebrity cameo though, was the scene with Salvador: that was so moving and I had goosebumps all over and I felt like my heart stood still while listening!

It was certainly the best scene in the movie. Alexander Lemtov singing voice was actually done by a Swedish singer Eric Mjönes, and not by the actor Dan Stevens who played him (Dan was meant to have his voice recorded and blended with Eric's to create Alexander's but COVID stopped it from happening) Sigrit's singing voice was done by Molly Sandén (Swedish singer who had competed in Junior Eurovision, Came 3rd) with Rachel McAdams voice blended with it. The fact there is a lot of Swedish influences in it doesn't surprise me - Will's wife is from Sweden. Missed having Mans in the movie. I even loved Jamala part in it (Think I finally got over how she won over Australia in 2016) The first 3 appearances I think had to do with the fact they filmed it last year so it must have been easier to get in contact with contestants from the contest when they were filming.

I thought it was a little over-the-top in the good way. It felt like a loving parody, and the things that were "wrong" mostly made sense in the context of the fact that they were making a movie. Honestly, it was better than I hoped it would be. I thought it was going to just be a stupid comedy when by the end I was actually really invested in the outcome, although Rachel McAdams completely carried the emotional side of it IMO. Double Trouble is a legit bop and could totally be a successful Eurovision song and the final song deserves an Oscar nom. Any time she's on screen, Conchita is my favorite cameo, but I was exceedingly pleased to see Netta as well.

You are missing the point on Alex, his character is spot on to the classical singers part of Eurovision, he is just hilarious and you must know that this is a comedy and not a documentary?

Of course I know it's a comedy, it would be foolish thinking Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams were in a documentary Dimman! The reason I dislike Alex is because of his antagonistic role in the film, he's the bad guy you love to hate.

I found a snippet of Ne partez pas sans moi on instagram and start to search about full performance that finally leads me to watch the whole movie, but i am a Celine's fan so i was a little bit disappointed she wasn't even mentioned in the movie, but that's alright this isn't a documentary film so that's fair if it's not accurate, and surprisingly this movie has many good songs, husavik is my number one 😁

I loved every second of this. I would have loved to see Il Volo or Sebhalter or Mahmood show up, but otherwise pretty perfect. I shrieked when I saw Conchita, even though I saw the outfit already on the German Queen of Drags show, it was like i never saw her before. And with Elina, they were angels in lace! So wonderful!

@@yvkon Yes, that would have made sense. There are many catchy songs from the past. They could also have shown other songs in the film so the variety of songs from ESC could have been shown, like Serbia´s entry 2012 or Hungary´s entry 2019. With Loreen in the cast, they could sing the song "Euphoria" in a new version to show the world what ESC is all about.
