I agree. The Code is a great song, but the contest was to political this year which could be a reason why Tattoo was chosen over The Code. I do also think Tattoo is the better song between the two. Yeah both vocals were great, but if you watched Laureen perform, you could feel the emotions alongside the song. With The Code, that emotional aspect wasn’t there.

oh yeah 13 and 14 and 22 and 25!!! Stefan, Silvester, Alvan&Ahez, Gate - I would have swapped Kaarija for Lasagna otherwise your list is suits me fine. Especially the number ones and five are all perfect. There are just a dozen songs that I can't stand so you can't go wrong.

@@cailieisidro5758honestly same, except for 1. I put Tattoo at 1. Great vocals by both Nemo and Laureen. Tattoo I feel like is the stronger song (not by much). 2024 Eurovision was political as heck, 2023 wasn’t. Tattoo had emotion with it, The Code lacked the emotion aspect.

@@CarterWright-fr7kw I didn’t really liked Tattoo because it was generic and the performance was just her being inside a box trying to lift off the cover. The Code on the other hand had some potential like mixing up genres (Pop, rap, opera, and drum & bass) and they still maintained their strong vocals while balancing on the turntable. Not to mention, that jump would’ve hurt if they didn’t land perfectly

@@cailieisidro5758 you could say the same thing for Ukraines performance. They had the same aspects as Nemo (Different setup). Didn’t win though bcs of political reasons. You could also say the same thing for Italy. Most of that performance was pop, but it was well mixed and Angelina still got 7th 😑😑

@@CarterWright-fr7kw You’re half right because I actually liked The Code and they were one of my candidates on who I wanted to win while Loreen would be a god against mortals. Either way, most people didn’t like the winners this year and last year but for different reasons of criticizing (I know both wanted the runner up to be crowned instead). Loreen already won and people thought it would be unfair if she gets another win while people become queer phobic with Nemo.
