Music and songs and performance has changed so much since 1956/1957 This was the kind of songs our (great) grandparents/parents listened to. I must say I like some of these songs

It's more amazing what it used to be. In 1956, the aim was to find "Europe's most beautiful melody". Far from that concept these days.

Probably the best Eurovision year. I loved all the songs.
@Gacha PlayerSquad I didn't put time stamps for the voting on all of the videos. I found it easier to just list the actual results on some of them.

@Gacha PlayerSquad I don't have a real answer for you. I wasn't even born until 1982. There are many songs throughout the years that have deserved much higher than their final results. There isn't always a good explanation.

@FannomacritaireSuomi3 жыл бұрын
@@ylevy5 I agree with you. The earliest Eurovision songs were very beautiful and "musical", but they didn't have almost any personality (besides the language), and most of them just held the same type of melody throughout the whole song, making them quite boring, as you said. I still think 1950/60s Eurovision was better than that of early 2000s: at that point, each song was a replica of another one, simple pop songs that didn't go anywhere and were badly sung!
