Indeed not that difficult just to pronounce some foreign words, still nowadays audience gets really excited if the presenter used some words in French as that is a major accomplishment. I found it very refreshing that the presenters were not screaming like current presenters and were really the host of the evening.

The best of the Black and White (pre-colour TV in Europe) presentations. Erica Waal was superb with her sexy deep voice. OOOOOF! Of course the best song won but Luxembourg would have been much more deserving second place to Ireland. Vicky Leandros became so much more famous later when she won for Luxembourg in Edinburgh.

This was an excellent production indeed aside from the mishaps in the voting. Udo Jurgens is very charming, and Erica is a very classy, intelligent presenter. This is the first time we see the contestants as the results are announced which is both entertaining and a bit awkward. "Puppet on a String" is a fine song performed admirably by Sandie Shaw, but I prefer several other ones including Luxembourg's and Spain's. Growing up in America I knew of "Love is Blue" long before I ever heard of Eurovision. The 1960s are my favorite decade of Eurovision!
