Dutch selection committee revealed (against all odds) some big names are dropping songs, even artists who now say they don’t want to do Eurovision (Davina Michelle?) Although my expectations are low, there’s so little time left to select a good song, it gets me excited, wish you a happy 2025 season.

With regards to the UK selection segment of your podcast, I agree with you and hope they prioritise the vocals. The reason why Olly and Mae were seen as good selections by the BBC is because exceptional live vocals are not essential to be successful in the UK/international music scene, whereas they are essential for the UK to do well in Eurovision as we consistently have better points scoring opportunities with the jury.

Very this! And we need to stop sending music that sounds like it could play on radio 1. Eurovision isn’t Uk radio.

I think we're gonna have very professional organization and I'm looking forward to it.

Love new Alesia content in any format. Eesti Laul is always a heartbreak, but for a country 8x smaller than Sweden and more than 60x smaller than Germany they always bring such a diverse, smart selection of talent to the point where I don't really mind the 'bloat'. Bigger (and richer) countries have no excuse to be giving us the same dated mess year after year!

I dont like at all that Eurovision now also feels like a bbc channel 4 (or what they are alk called) with all these random British peoples being the faces of eurovision. A harbinger of the increased commercialization aka downfall to come... Its going to get annoying i fear

Hmm Eurovision is way below level any other festival In Europe so they don’t represent reality of music so they suck!

If you hate it why are you watching some niche podcasts about it during the preseason when nothing is even happening yet? This is a fan behaviour.
