What annoyed me about Heroes is the song was just all over the place structurally, the melody just didn't seamlessly fit together and it was not a great composition. This one runs seamlessly from the verse (I woke up at six am) to the pre-chorus (I didn't want to wake you up) to the chorus ( Why didn't you wake me up). It's melodious, structurally perfect, just a great composition which fell on deaf ears.

@@daddymysterious1396 Fair enough we all hear music differently I revisited Heroes to see if my view has changed. I still see no connection or transition between the verse and chorus. I don't find it particularly melodious either, the range of notes is slight and there is a lot of repetition. The best thing about the song is probably the verse and if it had led into a decent chorous I would have been more understanding of it being a winner.
