Now that the contest is over, I went to look at what position my country placed in and I was honestly shocked. I did not expect us to qualify last Thursday but to find out she placed last is truly disheartening. I know that Loop is very generic, but Sarah’s performance was phenomenal, it did not deserve this. The performance was good, but the song didn't stand out, have an edge or wasn't catchy enough, amongst many other female performers in both semi finals. Maybe it wasn't your thing, but Estonia & Latvia did something different, people that like that sort of thing voted for that, while people who like a female performer were spoilt for choice & split their votes. Btw Malta were last in the final in 2021, whilst in the last 15 years Latvia has only been in the final in 2016 & 2015. I doubt every time their act was just rubbish. Fun fact: It is very likely, that Malta wouldn't have been least, if Spain were in the other semi final. Malta received 13 points. San Marino received 16 points, but 10 points were from Spain. Why did a Spanish band competing for San Marino even get 10 points from Spain?🤔 I have no idea.
