Let's push this idea further: How about Euruska's Mechs being upscaled versions of OrgaMechs? So the pilot IS this mech, is permanentny fused to it with tubes and neural uplinks, or is just brain with extensive life support within its head? This would explain those battle cries, and with Grabbers (still containing human head in its body) and OrgaMechs around, this doesn't seem so far fetched. Besides, you would be furious all the time too, if you were such monstrosity itself.
@killpo_113 күн бұрын
I definitely think something along those lines is true. Almost assurdely the pilot is the mech, just a question on how the process transforms these pilots into these mechs. The more grotesque idea floating around in my head is basically the "just the brain and nerves" idea you mention.
@avixka775113 күн бұрын
@@killpo_1 It's like a 40k thallax, aside from the brain and some nervous system, everything else is mechanical or biomechanical
@janbantilan474712 күн бұрын
I agree, but I also think that the Euruskan, grows there mechs. My idea is that they are synthetic organisms, that are initially wholly organic but was augmented with cybernetics making them enlarged cyborgs.
@CryptidBuddy10 күн бұрын
The organic movement & appearance of it compared to the other blocky mech is probably supposed to be a explicit suggestion it’s alive partially. A giant being in armour though, wouldn’t make sense because how would you feed that in a wasteland. The head is similar to the flying bug drones and apparently they can reproduce somehow so it could be a non carbon based artificial life form like the Combine synths.
@janbantilan47477 күн бұрын

Considering how broken down the supply lines and command structure actually are, i really dont see how any of these things still have ammunition at this point. The mechs and exos use massively oversized cannon type guns and carry around actual magazines for some of them - where do they get the raw number of crafted shells to keep those going? All i can figure is that there is some sort of massive 3d printing operation going on somewhere - we do see that some sort of repair drones work like this in the various trailers, as they rebuild cities and structures over and over (with degrading quality). Would be nice to see one of these battlefield auto factories as a unit in a future update.
@killpo_112 күн бұрын
Yeah... between the Europa Medium Mech, the Exo, and now this mech there's not really any clear animations / ammo stowages anywhere (I'm not even sure where the ammo is stored in the Exo's arm cannon), nor reload animations. If they're outfitted with limited ammo it would make sense for them to get into melee more, there just needs to be a bit more fleshed out melee system / sync system for them.
@bruintjesuus12 күн бұрын
I think the land ships serve as on site factories
@rokuplayz46412 күн бұрын
When it comes to lore, alot of manufacturing is automated and chain of command hasn’t completely collapsed because the human units come from cities deep within home territories that still function albeit thru marshal law and a lot of forced or manipulated into labour. It’s arguable the scavengers of the wasteland are better off than those average people in the cities

What if they 'build' the Mech around a Pilot ? A Human Pilot don't needs it's Arms or Legs if it's embedded inside the Mechs Torso. Linked to the 'Head' the Pilot could maybe even have the ability to FEEL the Mech like you used to feel your own Body. I also guess we might see more variations of this mech in the future, specially in terms of weapons since it moves and fights like a heavy armored human assault unit. All in all... i hope we find more insight about this in the future or maybe even if we turn our attention to another monster on the Battlefield... the Grabber.
@killpo_112 күн бұрын
Yeah that's cerainly a thought too, or along that line of thought they don't need "their" limbs anymore. The flesh gets removed with the nerves being spared (or replaced) and new fancy bio-mechanical limbs are given / grown on them (and eventually encased inside the mech).

I love the engravings in this game. There’s a hyper futuristic war machine & it’s covered in these primitive ritualistic drawings, it looks amazing on the helicopter particularly. Like the war has been going for so long everyone has regressed to a primal state & don’t even understand where this is coming from or how it works. It may have been perfect science at some point but now time and the many hands that it passed through managed to tear apart the spirit of a inanimate machine to become a ensnared cult victim. Almost like a desecration.

the theory pertaining to the corpses mounted on the backpack is interesting, though one hole is that it seems like a very inefficient method of transporting bodies. due to the high likely hood of parts being blown off/lost during battle, as well as the risk of decomposition during longer deployments. that said, it seems euruskan bio reactor technology can get very compact (as evident by toothy), so it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that whatever facilities are used for processing are easy/quick to set up or perhaps even mobile. i think another, perhaps less interesting theory. is that the soldiers are worn as trophies or threat displays, given the great care seemingly taken by euruskan troops to decorate their war machines

I'm not a huge fan of Warhammer40K but could it be possible that the chest armor contains the remains of a former soldier? As in WH40K, there are Dreadnoughts... Ancient mech warriors that are powered by the corpses of former space marines and what-not. Or even a more morbid scenario: The mechs head contains the head/brain of a former human soldier.
