This song is what got me hooked on Eurythmics. I had seem Sweet Dreams and Whos That Girl but Annie always seemed kind of cross and serious so seeing her being so happy was contagious. I bought every album after this including Savage and We Too Are One.

@@bullmoose6253 I like "cross" Annie as well, but I don't think this is artificially happy -- there is nothing artificial about Annie Lennox. She's genuinely having a good time which is why it's such a great video IMO.

What a great duo Eurythmics was! One minute they’re singing a dark slow song with S & M overtones (Sweet Dreams Are Made of This -which 1st grabbed me) and the next they’re playing festive calypso with Annie dancing in a fur sash and hat in the video! Could’ve made me some real money on that if I could’ve predicted it! Haha.

I loved this often-overlooked hit because we saw a lighter, happier side of Annie Lennox for the first time in a video. And it’s just an amazing song. I wish the 1980s had never ended. Real talent, brighter times, brighter colours, and fun videos. I miss Eurythmics.
