We got Rad brand back when Ebikes were just catching on and it wasn't cheap, but they are American made. We got ours in 2018 and they are still going strong. We got foldable in case we wanted to carry it in an airplane, but carry unfolded on the camper with the battery in the truck. We are in our 70s now and only use the 750 watt assist on hills or to help us get back if we to too far. A lot of state parks will allow seniors to ride them on improved trails if you have a bell or horn on them.

Rad bikes are nice but I would double check that claim about them made in the USA - A quick search shows otherwise: No, Rad Power Bikes are not made in the USA. They are manufactured in factories in Taiwan, China, and Southeast Asia. Rad Power Bikes has full-time employees in each of their factories to oversee quality control.

@@liferedesigned All I know is that mine were shipped from Seattle, Washington in 2018, and they claimed it was made there. What year did they start making them elsewhere as the first were made in a garage in Washington? Doesn't make sense that they would ship them to Seattle and warehouse them to ship across the country. Doesn't matter to me, but I do prefer to buy from American companies when I can. When I bought our bikes, I could find information, now it is very generalized and hard to pin down.

We have a pair of folding Ebikes, we find it easier to just lay the bike on the ground to do the folding. Ours do have folding handlebars which allow them to go in our RVs basement storage. We do love them for zipping around the campgrounds and local trails.

We've been doing it with much lighter bikes for years! 80lbs is a bit too much for us

Do you have to fold it to remove the battery. If so, then it may not really be a foldable, it's just access to the battery in the frame. Also allows you to have several batteries and use one when you are charging the other.

You do have to fold it to remove the battery BUT it is marketed as a folding e-bike, which is why the company reached out to us for review. Great bike but the “foldable” aspect is a pass for most RVer’s

Or very small SS. I would love an e-bike to go on errands around town, since my knees don’t work well. Hate to get stranded when knees stop working; e-bike would help with that. Living on 2300/month; no $$ for a 2-3k e-bike but would be nice.

The "folding" is just to get the battery out. But you're right, it's no good for you. I'll give you 200 for it. 😂
