That's a good question and I would be lying to you if I told you that I knew. I didn't use it that often for pure sailing as we were much of the time in narrow waterways so I had the motor on and thus was charging the batteries. Between 1:00 and 3 amps seems reasonable and consistent with other people's findings. 2 amp average X12 volts = 24 watts

Hoe Many Kg is your ship? I want to buy The EV-100 but it is Max for 7500kg. My ship is 8000kg.
