Eva Air Business Class 787-9 | Asia's Best Seat? Fukuoka To Taipei Trip Report

Today I share my trip report on Eva Air Business Class on the 787-9.

We went from Fukuoka to Taipei. We had a great time on our first trip with Eva Air. We used points to book our flight. We transferred from American Express to Air Canada Aeroplan and booked with Eva Air on there. This was a short flight but it was nice to have the lie flat seats. The meals were great, with choices of Chinese, Japanese and Western fare.

EVA Air is no budget airline. Like most full service Asian airlines, service is top notch.

I think I prefer landing because you're usually coming out of the clouds. But I like both.

I prefer landing as long as the runway is long and adequate The plane is lighter and not loaded with fuel.The plane is loaded with fuel and heavy when taking off putting a lot of stress to the aircraft.

Thanks for sharing! I flew EVA Air for the first time in late 2023 and it was great even though it was a long-haul flight. Flew Economy from US to Manila with a stopover in Taipei, and upgraded to Premium Economy on the return flight. Highly recommend and I look forward to flying Business class soon!

I like take off - it's nice soaring into the sky. Landings for me are the most stressful part of the trip lol

Everything is always on time in Japan unless you have bad weather. 2.5 hrs flight it certainly looks a lot closer from Japan to Taiwan on the map. I thought it would have been 1.5 hrs tops.

GREAT that you stated the amount of points to purchase the tickets, but how does that equate into dollars if a person is not using points? That information would be helpful also. Great video

Hmm, good question. We don’t really sit down to hash out travel. It’s more of an ongoing conversation. The booking part is the easy part.😂 Or if a great deal pops up, we book it and then build around it.
