The only reason KZbin was invented was so that the most beautiful voice ever could be introduced to the world. A big thank you to who ever made this possible.

Try listening to her sing "Danny Boy" without tearing up. She is singing about death, and it's hard not to think of hers.

Amazingly, she takes a song; adds her heart, harmonies, crescendos and decrescendos in unique places throughout the song, and in the process, she makes it's hers. Best singer/arranger/stylist/songwriter I've ever heard in my 70 years: Eva Cassidy!!!

She turned this into something I didn't know it could be. It's as if the true song had been locked away all these years, only later to be set free by Eva.

Brings back wonderful memories of my late father who passed away 20 yrs ago this week ... this was his favourite song and one of the last gifts I gave him was a CD with Patsy Cline singing Tennessee Waltz ... thank you for sharing Eva Cassidy's version ... she was such an amazing ' songbird ' and tragically her life was cut short by Melanoma ... I can't listen to her without crying but it is a good kind of cry ... RIP Eva

This is a sad song. I remember Patty Paige singing this song when I was a child (back around 1950). It was New Years Eve and my mom's friends delivered my mom home totally drunk. I'd never seen her drunk before. My grandmother railed and and yelled and screamed for a couple of days. To a kid the whole thing was scary. I have never liked New Years nor my birthday. Ironically, New Years is my birthday. Never told anyone this before and here I am blatting this on KZbin

The correct spelling is PAGE. I once made the same error myself when posting a comment on the video of this song by Webb Pierce (my favorite version), on the 2packs4sure channel. I could not correct it because I no longer possess the device I used to post it, so I had to leave a remark bringing attention to this error in a comment using my current user name here.
