Marton, Nilsson and Dimitrova the best three Turandots in history. Had the privilege of seeing Dimitrova live in Caracas (Venezuela) in the mid 90's and it was simply spectacular, and beyond mesmerizing.

To me, this is the perfect vocal performance of "In Questa Reggia" by a modern day singer. Her voice is icy as a bitter princes, and pierces the orchestra. People will disagree, as I know everyone has a favorite Turandot, and I applauded their merits given to their ideal princess.

I agree she’s great. Her language is clearer than Nilsson’s, which I always like, it makes it sound less like screeching. And I feel like she also has higher sensitivity, the sad part is actually part instead of sung like the rest

By a modern day singer? She’s old school, and of course in a good way. What a blessing it would be if a “modern day singer” would approximately have the technique and musicality of Eva Marton! She’s a goddess and helas in this role nobody came close to her in these present days.

It was said her voice was bigger than Nilsson's. She is a powerful actress and looks very beautiful and slim. Nilsson had more reliable high C's though.
