There is usually repeated sections of the performance shown and I never understand why they cannot wait and speak then. No, they talk through every second of it. It's like someone speaking with their mouth full when they are eating a beautifully crafted meal and not taking the time to taste it. Just be quiet and watch. Speak after.

Whenever we get commentary on Peacock or any of the other streaming channels that Ben Agosto participates in, he never speaks during the performance. He waits until it’s over. I have to believe that this is a demand of NBC that they constantly yap. I guess the network thinks that makes them relevant. For me it makes them even more irrelevant. I truly believe that Ben would much prefer to keep silent and do his analysis after the performance. But at least I appreciate that they have a bona fide dance expert commentating. Really there is no need for Johnny to be there. Terry and Ben could have done just fine without him.

This is a beautiful choreography. I saw Riverdance The Show live back when and I would not have expected it on ice. But the nod to the Irish dancing worked really well and the performance was amazing. As for the fall, well, crap happens, and any performer who manages to just go on and keep shining has all of my respect.

Those commentators blathering about all the mistakes, but all I could see was a highly skilled, in sync couple skate dancing to an Irish tune, and doing a fantastic job of it. Wonderful to watch, and I enjoyed every minute of it!

No couple seem to replicate the magic of torville and deane, i wonder if it was the syncronicity between their bodies,, jane was shorter than most, but obviously had terrific muscle strength in her small body, yet they made it look so effortless. Other couples , you can see how clever it is,,, but you can never get past that. torville and deane were above all DANCERS.

For those who have been around for awhile, you may remember Bourne and Kratz version of Riverdance. They worked a well known professional Irish dancer to work out character moves on ice. This was the time of the Block Judging scandal, so was generally unrecognized. Would have been nice to have seen a bit more in this dance. Otherwise was lovely

Thank you for your comment, we appreciate it. Our Professional off-Ice dance coach worked with Celtic Thunder which helped us learn technique. Our program is going to look different than BK's 1998 program because in IJS scoring, we have to include a dance spin, 3 lifts, a one foot step sequence, footwork, synchronized twizzle series, a choreographic character sequence, and two other choreo elements. Our choreographers worked hard to try and implement as much Irish dance as we could on top of those 10 elements that we are required to perform. We are very proud of how this program turned out💚

My daughter did competitive ice dance for a while, so I know the new system does restrict time for artistry because of required elements, levels, GOE etc. I particularly liked BK's short interlude, stopped standing side by side, arms performing the basic, well known Irish dance step. The current system, after numerous alterations over the years, is so much fairer. Your dance was excellent. (Although much too simple for today's standards, I still love the character Philippe Candeloro put into his straight line sequence in D'artagnan.)

I love this program because this had actual performance within it. I vividly remember the first time I ever heard this music was in 1998 when Shae-Lynn Bourne and Viktor Kraatz used it in their free dance and Dick Button commented how much more difficult it is to perform to Riverdance on ice compared to other dance genres due to the up and down of the steps which makes complete sense when considering most moves are performed on an edge and/or arc across the ice. Well done!

I'm such a fan of Ice Dancing and with Irish roots was keen to see you both, as I've never seen you before. WOW. You make it look effortless. I'm so sorry about the fall but that didn't detract from the absolute brilliance, deftness and might I add I've NEVER yet seen an attempt to do Irish Stepping on ice. Even on a floor it is most difficult. Add in the audience clapping which isn't synchronized, and the extremely fast pace of the music and your effortless yet supremely athletic moves, just please carry that on. You will be the only Ice Dancers doing that. It really was something I've never before seen, and I've been watching figure skating for decades.
