We've got a few drawer fridges in our range, all good in their own right, it probably comes down to what you have space for in your camper. ~ Ben

The drain is an interesting thing to have to consider. Not seen another fridge I can think of that has one.

I think Kev meant to say 'vent' sorry Alan, there's no need for a drain in that section of the fridge. ~ Ben

The hose out the back is the drain pipe, the chap mentioned it after saying about the vents.

@@racingescort1970 ah, my bad, correct you are, my apologies. I was referring to the vent on the inside of the cabinet, but I skimmed past what Kev mentioned about the drain at the rear. ~ Ben

Even Snowy Outdoors is confused about this... Set up to fail, why is it attached the way it is with nothing telling you otherwise?

This looks nice and big, would fit nicely in our truck - unfortunately, we are not "down-under" ...:)

Bought one pre-covid , did one 3 week trip. First trip post-covid kept using up all my batteries and killed one. Next trip realized it was running constantly and barely cooling. Pretty ordinary, not sure whether to chuck or fix.

It would be worth getting in touch with either the place you purchased the fridge or Evakool themselves for some troubleshooting, Roscius. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors No, Direct. It's out of warranty now, so not much point pursuing them. I've taken it to a service agent, he suggests it's worth looking at as that model can get a coolant blockage apparently. I'll let you know the outcome if you're interested. Grew up right where James Harrison invented refrigeration in 1855. You'd think it could be made reliable now..... if they chose too.

This frig looks exactly like the Engel. They are apparently the same frig manufacturer. The question is: who really builds it? Engel or Evacool? Thanks-
@SnowysOutdoors5 ай бұрын
They are quite different, the Evakool is assembled in Australia with parts sourced from all over the world, Engel utilises a Japanese motor and is assembled in another country I believe. ~ Ben

Hi, can this be plugged into a PowerPoint when on powered camp sites?
@SnowysOutdoors8 ай бұрын
No, this fridge needs to be hard wired into your vehicle, it doesn't come with a 240V adapter. You might be able to customise something but I'd recommend speaking to an auto electrician. ~ Ben
@perkypat22145 ай бұрын
Yes you can, but you'll need an adaptor to step down from 240v to 12v that has an Anderson plug so you can connect it to the fridge.
