That training really came in handy! I really need to convert my fridges MC connectors to Anderson. Those MC connectors are a PITA when you don't have much of fingernails.

I had a similar issue with my Oztrail 80L fridge. In the end, I stacked my drawers and had the fridge beside them. Worked great and saved having to buy anything for that part of the upgrade I did.

I have the same Kings fridge and love it! My only gripe is i have to lay down my milk bottles and they always leak...

Ya it's on the shorter side. I would pour baileys into a small shaker bottle and it just fits..

Well done. For a Kings fridge, they are actually very robust and reliable. Mates had his for quite some time now, and his impressed. Well done, girl 🙏

I would have liked to fit a drawer-fridge in my Land Rover but I just need the drawers, as drawers, too much. I suppose I could've fitted the fridge into the back and then turned the remaining space into a top-opening storage bin but that seemed a bit shonky. I have 12v sockets all over the car so I just have a 40l fridge and it gets moved around to wherever it's not in the way, or where it's needed. My dog likes it when the fridge is in the passenger footwell so she can sit on the front seat and then lie down on top of the fridge.

I have the same setup and you might need to run the temp a bit lower as we do down under.

Couldn’t you wire it direct or a wire in a twelve volt plug in in the back of the vehicle? Or will it kill the car battery to quickly? Maybe you said the answer with the 2 battery comment. Great to see you in a video again I hope you keep them coming.
@OverlandLady11 ай бұрын
The main battery is not connected to a constant power plug. And i’m not planning to since I have no solar to provide input to the battery when vehicle is not running. Like you said, don’t want to kill the battery. I had a dual battery setup in my last vehicle and would use constant power from the second battery. That way you don’t kill the starter battery.

How is the thermal retention efficiency on this? Does the compressor run often? Mainly thinking about battery usage compared to a thick walled chest fridge.

We went with a kings fridge, one that has the top lid but the hinges are on the long side and it opens from either side. So convenient! How hard is MIG alu compared to steel? I tried TIG alu once and it was a disaster so I'm hesitant to get the stuff to try MIG alu.
@OverlandLady11 ай бұрын
I’ve never done TIG steel so couldn’t compare. Only TIG Alu. Mig is easy. Doesn’t have the sparking sound like steel. Drag on Alu (i push on steel).

Why not just get a short extension cord with a few plugs on the end of it so you don't have to move the Jackery
@OverlandLady10 ай бұрын
The button controls are still on the jackery unit itself. Turning the AC on and off still need to crawl

Shipping would lhave cost more than the fridge 😂😂😂

Shipping was close to the fridge cost but not quite haha. yes the fridge is very cheap
