Hi. Can you please comment on what coordinate system was used for the slope determination?

Hi! The coordinate system used was North America NAD27 UTM Zone 13N.

@@GoldenSoftware Thank you for the reply. I am struggling with additional math functions related to this video. I am looking to change 'contour values' of my slope grid to other predefined values. The best formula I have so far is ' IF(A= 0, 4) and IF(A 1, 3,7) and IF(A 2, 3,285) ' but it appears there are errors in this formulation. Might be improper use of spaces in-between functions? Thank you for the help.

If I can simplify the question. What would a true false statement look like for 2 or more statements? Are the statements separated by a space, comma, 'and' or anything else? (in the example above I used 'and'. Can you please answer with an example.

@@sustainablegeohydrological7010 Hi, Thank you for your question. Surfer does not currently support defining multiple disparate functions in one equation. However, it is possible to combine IF statements in Surfer's grid math if they're related to each other. This requires that you stack your IF statements. For example: IF(A= 0, 4,IF(A 1, 3,IF(A 2, 3,7))). If you want to calculate multiple unrelated statements you can run each statement through Grid Math separately. Best Regards, Golden Software Support

Can the underground gaps be detected with the Surfer 17 system and close range and also can magnetic field intensities be detected
@GoldenSoftware

Greetings, Thank you for your comment. Surfer is visualization software, so just about any XYZ data can be visualized provided you have the data available and can interpret your results. For example, you may be able to visualize irregularities in the subsurface by gridding and mapping subsurface data. You could visualize electromagnetic data by gridding the data you've collected and creating a contour map of the area. Best, Greg Customer Support

@@GoldenSoftware Greetings to you too, you could not give an answer to the question I asked. Can we see the cavities under the ground or the magnetic fields on the ground surface thanks to the Surfer 17 system.
@GoldenSoftware
@GoldenSoftware 3 жыл бұрын
@@serkanayyldz5263 Thanks for your comment! Surfer is visualization software that relies on user-input data. There are no features in Surfer to detect something like sub-surface cavities or magnetic fields, but you may be able to visualize these things with the appropriate data. If you have further questions about this, feel free to reach out to our support team directly at support@goldensoftware.com. Best, Greg

Hi, can you represent the distance to points along polylines ? In order to define the best place for a bus station on a street network. And maybe weight it with the population density map?
@GoldenSoftware

Greetings, Thank you for your comment. You can use the Map Tools | Map Tools | Measure command to measure distances on your map: surferhelp.goldensoftware.com/command/map/Measure.htm?Highlight=measure See the following article for steps to create a Density map in Surfer: support.goldensoftware.com/hc/en-us/articles/230481148-Create-Heat-or-Density-Maps-in-Surfer Sincerely, Customer Support

@@GoldenSoftware Thanks for your answer. I was not meaning the air line distance between two points but the distance between two points along polylines segments (walking distance on streets). Could be difficult, even more if the Network are made of miltiples polylines. Gregards, Julien

@@GoldenSoftware sorry to insist but we don't understand each other. I want to represent with a color on the polyline (street network) the distance (walking time) to the next nearest point (bus stop). I hope no I clearly formulated my question. Thanks for your reply. Regards. Julien

@@smoof799 Hi Julien, Thank you for reposting your question. It sounds like you want the measure tool or the other method to take the changes in Z value into account. I have added a vote to our suggestion file, upon you behalf, for future versions of Surfer to measure the distance along a surface. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance!
