The fact Gregg hasn't resigned after the video of him telling the team that the other game was 1-1 right before giving up of Goal is sad

Important Data -Falling to Trinidad -Nearly falling to Jamaica lacking key players -Humiliating defeat in our Copa America -Terrible away record -never beaten a top 20 team not called Mexico +Beating Mexico's worst generation multiple times - + The Players love him, but they clearly don't fear any repercussions for poor behavior. Yeah... Gregg deserves to be fired.

@@I41535D Bare minimum meaning Gold Cup & Concacaf bud, He has not improved since loosing to Netherlands. The only positive thing that we have is that we are miles ahead of a bad batch on Mexican players that's about it. and to top it off we beat Jamaica because they scored an own goal. @@I41535DLiterally the bare minimum lmao. Do you even watch the games? The U.S. plays Horrid, never plays through the middle, super slow and they whip in crosses all the time and the tactics never change. @@I41535D Bare minimum = 1) 2022WCQ came in 3rd (last auto qualifying position, on goal differential). 2) 2022WC came in 2nd in the Group of Death (sarcasm Wales, England, Iran) with an emphatic record of 1W, 2D, 0L (2 goals scored). 3) 2022WC knock-out round, not just beaten but embarrassed. Netherlands coach post game stated "we knew exactly what they were going to do, and they never deviated from their original tactics". 4) CONCACAF weakest confederation (besides OCIANA). 1 win away from home in 5+ years. Nations League - Skin of our team against Honduras in one cycle; a 95th minute Own Goal against Jamaica the most recent cycle. 5) Historic losses to Panama (their 2-3 W against the USMNT all time came against Gregg coached squads). Historic losses to Canada. 6) ZERO wins against nations in the top 20 from a different confederation. 7) Embarrassed by Colombia in a friendly and 1st host nation of COPA to ever get grouped (100+ year history). In short Gregg has gotten this group of players (most talented in US History) to play to the average level of CONCACAF. We've struggled to convincingly win in our own weak confederation across 3 competitions. Team is regressing since Gregg's return due to complacency. USA lacks the depth in the talent pool to scrap the 23-26 players in the squad so the only possible option for change is to FIRE the coach.

I defended Berhalter until the 2022 World Cup. I said that to evaluate him he needed an entire cycle. During the World Cup we saw his limits in tactics and locker room management. The way he told the press about his differences with Gio Reyna was unprofessional. What happens in the group must stay in the group. --- Berhalter has learned nothing since being eliminated from the World Cup by the Netherlands. He persists in the same tactic with high crosses even his attackers are 8 inches shorter than the opposing defenders. And rather than taking responsibility for the elimination of his team, he looks for those responsible elsewhere. --- When the Morocco team coached by Hervé Renard was eliminated from the African Cup of Nations, he took full responsibility for the elimination. Today he is still respected by Moroccan fans and many would like to see him return to coach their national team. It's this type of man-with-a-backbone behavior that Berhalter lacks.

Think in terms of the on "Value over Replacement". GGG gets below-average results (all the wins against Mexico need to be understood in terms of the weakest ever generation of Mexican teams), full-stop. He has no signature wins in nearly 6 years. His teams struggle to score. His tactics are inflexible. He runs off good players (Brooks, nearly Gio). He stuck with inferior talent for too long in his first tenure. He plays players out of their best position. His tactics are both overly complicate and easily predicable. Van Gaal exposed him.

11:55 Bravo 👍 Copa America was a Test for the USMNT under Gregg Berhalter. Another point, if Gregg Berhalter really wants to continue as USMNT Head Coach, then he is really worse then we think. You lost an important competition at home, and you want to continue? It's ridiculous !!! He lost a competition that would have done a lots of good to his carrier as a coach. You don't get ousted from group stage in your country and not consider that a Harm to your carrier. YOU COULD NOT WIN IN Front of your FANS ! This is very negative, and any Proud Coach would actually bow out instead of sweeping the failure under the Resume. I wasn't paying close attention to Gregg Berhalter as coach, but last couple of months when I did.. I'm very disappointed in the USSF. How much lower do you have to sink before you admit you're in a hole? it's only going to get worse from here on if the USSF keeps Berhalter on. What miracle is he going to perform to make the FANS forget the defeat at home? He can't !

I think we're well past the need for a deep forensic analysis of his tenure and just need to cut bait here. He's not and will never be good enough. By "good enough", I mean progression, competitiveness against equally or higher ranked sides, and MAJOR tournament achievement. No, winning the Copa America or World Cup are not the bar, we're nowhere near the level of positive consistency to have those expectations. But dropping out of the Copa in the group stage is simply unacceptable, and it clarifies what a lot of us who don't rate Berhalter have been saying for years. No need to dive into it, the result speaks for itself.

The U.S. National Team is more concerned with covering their butt instead of admitting mistakes, which doesn't show signs of success going forward. When Uruguay scored, most everyone on the U.S. raised their hand for the offside flag. Only one or two players should have raised their hand. Everyone on the U.S. wanted to play Simon Sez. 10:00 You have to apply the American Mentality to judge an USMNT Coach whether is a Foreign Coach or American Coach. In American Business you must show the Results otherwise we assume that the failure will continue. What he did before is part of history. We need to judge him on how he flipped the Hamburgers against Panama. We can say the friendly loss of 5-1 is a friendly, but how about the two losses in group stage of Copa America? On Home Soil! If you accept this and let Berhalter continue.. First of all you will lose the time you have now to hire a new coach 2 years ahead of 2026 Secondly, the things Berhalter was doing last year or so, which produced the failure we're talking about, will continue and the USMNT players will say again and again we like him It is not about liking the Coach or the Players, it's about LIking the RESULTS. Who likes these results? - Loss 5-1 against Columbia - Loss 2-1 against Panama (and they lost against Columbia 4-0 - Loss 1-0 against Uruguay = and all this on home soil Gregg Berhalter saw all this and did nothing to prevent it, how ever the Players did something to prevent firing him. THYE lIKE HIM = THEY LIKE THE RESULTS !!! Wake up!!!!!!!!

You don't want to reward any coach for lucky actions or results. If you're investing time in any Coach, to get good revenue in 2026, you must be certain not to reward him for things that happened by luck. My view on Berhalter is neutral whether is good bad honestly I don't know. I focus completely on the TEAM as whole, while we have so very good players in the end it's like in Business you make make the best Pizza but if no body is buying it then you're doing something wrong. If you host a tournament as big as Copa America, in 2024.. then in 2026 you're hosting the World Cup you have to stop being emotional and judge the coach on the basis of results, use common sense. Is the coach who lost in America by a score of 4-1 to Columbia in a friendly, then got ousted from group stage in Copa America in the United States of America, is that coach going to lead you well in 2026 in the World Cup? One American Coach said it best recently when talking about Copa America and the World Cup, Jess Marsch Canada Men's Team Coach said: "We're using Copa America to Springboard into the World Cup" no this makes sense. All US FANS want the USMNT to do well in the World Cup, but they all just saw the USMNT not perform at all at the Copa America in America. How much evidence do you need to understand that the current USMNT Coach is not the man for 2026? Berhalter gave you a preview on what he can do in 2026, it's up to you to smell the coffee and wake or continue sleeping and fantisize. Everything else the Gregg Berhalter did before was Luck or a one time thing or maybe he was a great Coach once. But we dont judge people in general based on what they did beofe only, we judge them more based on what they do now, or what they just did. If you don't count the bad performance in the last 4 games against Berhalter then you're not helping the USMNT. We will not be any better in 2026 under Gregg Berhalter !! Accept the Last Message you just saw in the Copa America, don't refuse the News. Canada is playing the semifinal tonight!!! So, it's not like the South Americans are that much better. So, choose to learn from Canada or from Mexico. If you still support Berhalter then you will be more like Mexico and less like Canada. The problem is Canada who hire our Coach that the USSF rejected, used to learn from us. Now they're teaching us but the leadership in the USSF is asleep at the Wheel. Change is good when the status-quo is FAILURE. So don't get surprised in 2026 if you fail again with Berhalter. The easiest test is to play at home, Berhalter failed that in friendly and in official tournament. How you would find in that Positive, is unbelievable to me.

No way these guys can perform at high level at their clubs throughout Europe, whether as a starter or playing important minutes off the bench. Yet when they come play for the national team they are consistently inconsistent. Always hot and cold. They beat teams they should easily win but it’s never an easy win. Or they struggle against team they should annihilate. But when they play against a team on paper everyone thinks it’s going to be an embarrassing loss they go toe to toe and make it a game and In many cases they could have won. This is a clear sign of coaching. Where is the intensity against the lower teams but you show up for the most part against the bigger teams. A proper manager will have this team playing 10 times better consistently. Because the talent is obviously there.

You can’t judge him based on the past. That’s how he got the job again so to keep it you gotta judge it from the start of the second stint. The US has been lucky CONCACAF (especially Mexico) has stagnated and given them a chance to win.

Let’s not get it twisted, the first cycle was absolutely not a success. Barely qualified for the WC, didn’t win any away matches. Berhalter refused forever to move on from the Lledgets et al mediocre MLS guys that were not getting it done in qualifying. Then we barely get out of a mediocre group at the WC, we scored 2 goals in the group stage. We score early against Iran, then park the bus the rest of the game and invite them to attack and get lucky we don’t let them equalize. Then get smacked by Netherlands. Meanwhile Greg decides before the tournament he’s not going to use one of his best players, then makes an entire mess of that situation. The US doesn’t create many scoring chances his entire tenure, you know, what he got fired from the Swedish 2nd division for. This guy is an absolute joke and not remotely qualified to be a NT manager.

Gregg should have been fired right after the world cup. We qualified third in the hex and didn't look good throughout. In the WC we played ugly unathletic football. Our "best game" was a 0-0 against England because we looked like we actually cared for 2/3rds of the game. The Netherlands embarrassed us and literally called out our poor coaching. We struggle with possession and build up (supposedly Gregg's style) and we struggle in the final third at creating clear chances. We have no development for our players, and no accountability for our performances. We are wasting our so called golden generation.

He’s been successful in a weak federation and failed when the standard of football required was raised at the very first hurdle. Not beating Panama, a team you play every year shows the team has not progressed and highlighted his lack of coaching and motivational ability by not at least managing to get a draw.

8:10 YOU DON'T LEARN IN OFFICIAL TOURNAMENTS. You're supposed to be PERFORMING and Achieving Results in Copa America. If you allow Berhalter to say Copa America was a learning curve, that he'll say the same thing if he continues and fails in World Cup 2026. It doesn't work that way, you have a coach to show me results for the trust to continue. Is the Friendly loss vs Columbia 5-1 a good result? Losing to Panama and the Red Card in Copa America is a good result? Losing to Uruguay 1-0 is a good result? The time for learning, we could say the friendly and the 5-1 is a learning curve, but how about losing to Panama? He coached for 5 years, THAT'S IT. You must get results or be gone. Things must make sense LOGICALLY. Keeping Berhalter on is a none sensical idea unless personal relationships are at play. Nepotism never creates success.

Keep him he's the perfect coach for this team quit buying into the hype that this is a "Golden Generation" for the USMNT most of these players haven't done squat other than maybe 2-3 that have proved they can play among the elite. This team will win a few gold cups nothing more nothing less the goal for the 2026 world cup is making it to the quarterfinals with a chance to get to a semifinals game is probably the most realistic if anyone thinks they're going to do better than that you should take a look at the young talent the elite teams have compared to our "Golden Generation" and then ask yourself again wow lol ours is garbage.

Going only by the record since WC2022, Berhalter should be out. Pure and simple. Any other nation would have sacked their manager (and has!) with similar results. But there are other factors at play. First is the international reputation of the US as the host nation. Sure, host nations don't routinely win WCs, but you have to make a respectable showing (quarter finals at least). That isn't likely to happen with this team and coach. Second is the money. TBH, sports are entertainment and entertainment in much of the world is a money machine. If the US embarrasses itself hosting WC2026 as it did in Copa America, I can't begin to calculate the amount of lost revenue, echoing all through US soccer world. Less enthusiasm, fewer fans, less live attendance, less broadcast ratings, lower sponsorships and advertising. You get the point. An embarrassing WC2026 will cost millions for networks/cable, MLS teams, local vendors and others who profit from pro sports in their towns. Conversely, should this team actually do something inspiring ... the reverse could happen. Bottom line: Berhalter and this team as organized and managed today will lose millions. I love soccer for the excitement and beauty of the sport - but I don't think many people are considering the ramifications for the sport in the US.
The 1st USMNT Roster under Pochettino will look like this…
