Cool video my friend! I was a sales manager for almost 20 years in south Ga , selling these old school direct sales and made a great living doing it. There is literally still no vacuum on the market that is built like this machine!! I still have 3 total I use. The lil pigs as they're called, almost never tear up and literally last 30 plus years. Sadly the company Aerus that manufacturers them in Bristol VA stopped making these iconic beasts a couple of years ago...lost distributors nation wide due to poor business practices and hurt the good ones. Now we're selling Hague brand water conditioner systems. So many memories over the years past knocking doors and making a great living at it. Sad to see these stop being manufactured because they started making these in 1946 in El Segundo CA, moved to Anaheim, then later in Bristol VA. Amazing lil machines and again, thank you for making this video....brings back lots of memories!!

I've a 1989 Tristar cxl 50th anniversary edition like what you have and the power is unbelievable and last week I bought the pre filtration bags and the power so strong it can suck up a water bottle cap and it's so amazing for me to own a late 1980s Tristar cxl 50th anniversary edition vacuum anniversary edition

We used to have one of these when I was a kid (ages 4-9 or something like that). We called it the silver pig. I remember it constantly falling over and it being too heavy for my tiny little butt to use, which I was fine with, meant I was rarely asked to vacuum as a chore.

With that Hepa filter, you don't have to use Hepa bags anymore unless you want essentially a 0 particle air count.

There's a generic HEPA filter being sold on Amazon for $10

Imagine a disposable Hepa bag, cloth bag, Hepa pre-filter AND Hepa post filter all at once! Amazing filtration with all the airflow of a dustbuster 🤣 Personally I think it's more important to have Hepa exhaust filtration than Hepa pre-filtration (at least in terms of actual filters - bags should always be Hepa-rated). That way you catch all the motor carbons and what ever else comes out the back end to get the best particle rating possible.
