Carlin, you’ve got a great man there. He puts you and his children right under God, and there are not many men out there that would willingly do this. That’s something that not everyone can do, no matter how much they want it. It’s tough to get that far. I lost him in 2003 to a massive heart attack, but he taught me a lot about love, family and God before he went home. He gave me what even my parents could not, unconditional love and appreciation. What you both have is amazing. Nurture it daily and always remember that complements are essential. Hugs

Or the Cleveland Clinic, in Cleveland, Ohio. I was sick for 18 months, but no drs could tell me why I was sick. I saw my 8th neurologist in Cleveland and they knew immediately what was wrong with me and started tests to prove that I had what they called POTS. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. She would need a tilt table test and one that runs radioactive dye in blood and Cardiologists see how blood flows in the body. They had me laydown and breathe only, my heart rate never went below 120 the whole time. I have seen some people with this online and it can cause seizure like symptoms. I will be praying for you Carlin. My husband had seizures years ago. The tests did not reveal anything, and the doctor says his seizures were due to stress. After a short time, he no longer had seizures. Praise God! I will be lifting you up in prayer for healing. You have a great husband and will pray for him to during this time also. God will provide all your needs. Hugs!

I was sent to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester about 7 years ago (we live in Florida). I would suggest having your neuro start the referral process now as it takes time. We scheduled to fly out for a week and only had one confirmed appointment for that Monday morning. What they had us do was "check in" to the other departments that the initial doctor wanted me to see each day and we were able to get seen as they would have last minute no-shows or cancelations. It was a pretty good experience and, for me, it was comforting to know that my doctors had done everything that could be done. Mayo followed up with my doctors to continue treatment and, if needed, I could go back to Mayo for follow up. If you see this and have any questions about my experience I would be more than happy to answer them. Good luck! I know how hard it is when you are waiting for answers.

Evan, you have grown up so much! You are a good attentive husband and daddy! Has your heart doctor ever suggested a pace maker? I know a lady who passed out a lot. One day she fell backwards, hit her head, and scared me to death. She was in a big bad seizure. I had no idea she had a pacemaker, but something was not working correctly. The ambulance took her to the hospital, after tweaking the pacemaker and a couple of days of observation she went home.

When I went to Mayo MN, it took about three months after getting referred before I got in for an appointment. You might want to ask your doctor for the referral now so you can into Mayo faster & hopefully get your answers sooner.

Evan you are living up to this huge challenge. I know it’s a heavy burden and praying for you as you support your wife. Both of you are showing great maturity and it’s inspiring. As far as some of the suggestions on seizure alert dogs, it can take awhile to get one so you have to be on a list, but in the meantime, I’d highly recommend a device called the Embrace Alert. It is what my son uses and it’s like a watch that will send an alert to your phone if Carlin has a seizure. It’s been a life changing device for us. I was unable to sleep well until my son started wearing one. God bless you all! Praying for you!

praying for you guys! I have done the "shaking" thing twice in my life. We concluded that it was "over-stimulated" induced panic attacks. An anti-anxiety med has really help alot. It takes alot of work and effort. I had to re-understand my body. I am a hyper/fun mother of three boys and both me and my husband work. I had to get a good sleep schedule, eat similar each day. Avoid choatic momets. Plan ahead. Hugs to you!

My heart goes out to you and your young family. I wish you all a full and speedy recovery. You are in my prayers. I have been thinking a lot about a possible diagnosis. I am sure that you have heard from a lot of people with different opinions. But here are my possible diagnoses: Lupus Anticoagulant, and/or Patent Foramen Ovale ( PFO ) which allows the blood clots from the veins to cross over to the arterial side and cause occlusion in the brain, causing seizures/mini strokes. PFO can be diagnosed with a bubble study . I wish you find the answers, and the treatment for it. Stay strong and patient.

Oh goodness my heart goes out to you guys! I sincerely hope and pray you are healed. I pray you get a definite answer on what is causing the seizures and that it can be quickly resolved! Awwe im so sorry you guys 😞 my husband and i have been there, getting fired, (for being honest actually) and the unknown physical issues ( mine was anaphylactic reactions and it was finally figured out that I have Alpha-gal Syndrome from a tick bite, dealt with it for about 6 months or so before answers - I also have a immune system disease) 😥it can really make you feel like your wrung out emotionally just trying to get it all figured out... but just know that Jesus already knew and has it figured out🙂 and He STILL has a plan!! I promise. It was a 6 year long ride for us but somewhere in all our "chaos" (lots more going on then just a job and physical issues) Jesus was at work in our hearts and in our lives 💙 He makes no mistakes with what He allows. Love Him so much🤍🥲 so so glad I have Him!! In my darkest moment when all felt lost.... I still had Him. He can be trusted!! 💙🤍

Amen!! Unconditional Faith & Trust in the Lord! And he will always cradle you in his arms & heart. Evan, you are one of the most amazing husbands I have ever seen. I think the biggest blessing here is that your family has YOU. You are leading like a Rock Star!! It is not a sign of weakness to have a break down moment Evan. We surrender unto the Lord remember. It is all part of the process of this journey. Please rest yourself, have some very lazy days, the strong need to stay refreshed as well. And it is all for your family. Truthfully, Carlin was my least favorite of the Bates'. Don't even know why I watched your first video ( led there?😊), But, watching you through this ordeal, my heart & prayers go out to you. And once again, lesson learned for me as well. You are both so precious & positive. Better paths are yet to come!

Bless your heart, Evan. You are a solid rock for your family. I'm praying Carlin finally gets some answers. I know it has to be frustrating to have to wait. My husband had so many health problems and each one was a trip to the doctor, labs, xrays, questions to answer, procedures... it seems to never end. But it does. Keep the faith.

I am especially praying that you can find some concrete answers and a cure for this health issue. Blessings !!!
